I keep getting pins and needles in my feet and pain in my upper left chest. I have been on levothyroxine 50m for the past two wks

As you notice problems with the feet is listed. I think you need to contact your doctor immediately and tell them of your problems. This definitely could be a negative side effect of the medicine.

levothyroxine may have adverse side effects like: palpitations, nervousness, headache, difficulty sleeping, insomnia, swelling of the legs and ankles, weight loss and/or increased appetite.

I can only say ask your doctor. All these types of hypothyroidism drugs have some sort of effects.

In the meetime be careful when sewing and where you leave the pins and needles.
