Ok, so I thought I was a headache expert. I've been having migraines for a VERY long time. I've got a neurologist who has me on topamax for them. It's been working. I was having about 5 serious migraines a week...now maybe 1 every 2 weeks, sometimes they last a while though. Anyways, new problem. I got a headache last night that started on the back left side of my head, a small area. It was really painful and I actually checked my head to see if I had a bump or something. It hurt! Well, then it did the weirdest thing...it MOVED to the front left side! I got dizzy from this and almost had my husband take me to the hospital. I don't feel you should go to the ER though, unless it's an emergency! I didn't think it was. So, went to sleep, woke up with a pounding headache, not quite a migraine, still hurt like hell though. I'm waiting for my Dr to call me back, usually takes a while. Does anybody know what this is? I've never had anything like this and I've had all kinds of headaches! Thanks

Also, I've been on Topamax for two years now, if that helps. My migraines are severe and they don't know what causes them. I've had two MRIs...my brain's ok. I get tension headaches too, not recently though b/c I'm not stressed. Just back from the Bahamas! I'm so happy...don't know why I have this headache. Is there such a headache...anybody know the name? One that moves? It was a small area, like the size of my fist. (I have small hands so that is small to me haha)

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, sweet fruits, milk, rice and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.

I've been on topamax for migraines for 2 years also never had anything like that.If your neurologist has not called back call him again and explain to receptionist/nurse what the trouble is and you are very concerned .If you get no satisfaction that way I say go to the ER .Don't wait if could be aneurysm or small bleed . Nothing to play with .God Bless, hope you feel better soon.

I believe your headaches are stemming from your neck. The dizziness is always an indication of neck problems. I recommend you see a chiropractor as soon as possible. They really are the best doctors for this type of problem. I worked in a chiropractic office for many years and saw many people helped who could not get relief through medical treatment.

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
