I have got a permanant pain in my shoulder. It doesn't move smoothly, it grinds and clicks when I move it, sometimes I have so much pain to the point of being sick. The doctor said it was from an injury, but I dont know what, or how to fix it. He gave me some exercises, and it didn't do the job. I have had pain for 9 months now.

I also have had a heart aneurysm recently, I dont know if it is connected to my heart. They both started around the same time, I went originally to see the doctor about my shoulder and they found the problem with my heart. could it be connected??

I'm only 27 and female, so it's quite rare for me to have a heart aneurysm. Could they both be from the same injury? what can i do with it lol

It`s doubtful they are related. I have chronic shoulder pain too and my doc says I have a slight touch of arthritis. Aleve or RX called naproxen works wonders. As in my case, it may not be injury at all. Sorry to hear about your aneurysm. Glad all is well now.

Doubtful that they are related....I can't tell you all about the aneurysm, but the shoulder, well, I would have to see it, but I am wiling to bet you have some sort of impingement going on due to bony malalignment. It can happen if you've had an injury or if your bones are just formed in such a way that is is hard for the humeral head to rotate in it when you move your arm above your head. I think you should go see a physical therapist about this because they can work on re-educating your muscles to move better and in apain-free range and can strengthen muscles that will pull the humeral head downwards creating less impingement within the joint space. If all else faisl, they do have surgeries to remove parts of the bone to create more room in that area, but that should be a last resort.

Oh and it isn't that uncommon for someone of your age to have an aneurysm. All it takes is less elastic vessels and this can be caused by poor diet and lack of exercise....and your age is about when that sort of thing cathces up with someone!

I wish I had this 2 years ago when I damaged my rotator cuff while showing off. This is very detailed and really gives you the techniques you need to sort out your own shoulder issues and a lot more info such as preventing further injuries. If you have a shoulder keeping you awake at night you'll know it's no laughing matter.

The heart aneurysm is not connected to your shoulder. You need to get both of these corrected surgically. See an orthopedic doc about the shoulder and see a cardiolgist about your heart problem. Since your regular doc never referred you to specalists for either problem I would consider changing docs to one who takes better care of you. For now though make an appointment with an orthopedic do and a cardiologist as soon as you see this reply. The heart problem could be severe so get this checked out ASAP. Shame on your doc for not getting your heart problem checked out right away.

You probably have Bursitis. I sometimes suffer from the same condition. Cortazone shots to the sholder usually do the trick. Sounds like you need to go to a different doctor.

have you brought this up to your cardiologist/ the grinding and clicking is not cardiac. that is more orthopedic. i would see another orthopedic guy and get a second opinion.preferably one that is trained in sports medicine and who is a board certified orthopedic surgeon. they are most knowledgeable.
