I realize it could be as simple as gas pain, but when I have that, its usually more in the central area of my stomach, and not concentrated just on one side or the other. I know if it gets real bad I am smart enough to go to the ER, but until then, I'm just curious what could be causes of it. Oh, and I am a woman, so I am entertaining the possibility of female problems. Oh and it is not that time of the month.

this could be coming from your intestines. You may have constipation and that will cause contractions in the intestines. Place a heating pad or hot water bottle on top of the area for twenty minutes. See if this relieves the pain.

I recommend you take a powdered fiber supplement first thing in the morning and last thing at night.

You may want to visit your gynecologist in case it's something related to the female organs.

How long have you had it? I had that and it started around 10pm and by midnight I was curled on the bathroom floor vomiting. Then, by 2 am I was in the emergency room and had a burst appendix. If the pain worsens or you start to vomit or get a fever, go to the ER (as you said you would) and bring up the posibility of appendicitis.

You should get into your doctor. It could be many female related problems, nothing to play around with. Tumors, cancer, infections, tubal pregnancy.

You could be constipated, or have kidney stones. (possibly)
