My 6 year old daughter got a chicken pox vaccine two days ago. The site of the shot has become large, swollen and very red as well as hot to the touch. No other symptons, she acts and appears just normal and fine as can be. After calling the Dr's office yesterday, they instructed me to give her children's tylenol and to bring her in if the red area/reaction got to be bigger than 2 inches. That occurred this morning, upon checking it, it had grown considerably so I took her to the Dr. Dr. prescribed an antiobiodic and suggest motrin. Dr. also drew a circle around the affected area/red mark and told me that if it grew any larger to bring her back in tomorrow. It has been 5 hours since she got her first dose of the antiobiodic and motrin and the spot has expanded outside of the circle the Dr. drew around the area earier this afternoon by about a half inch. Has anyone else ever heard of a child having such a reaction with no other side effects with this vaccine?

Today while I was playing basketball I hung on the net and hurt my pinky. It is a bit swollen in the middle where it mostly hurts. I can move it but any pressure that is not that little or too much hurts. It moves in all directions but in pain. If I dont move it it doesnt hurt. I continued to play basketball and when I came home I also did. Could it be a sprain or any bone crack?

A door just slammed on my hand and caught 2 of my fingers pretty hard. I can move them but they're getting really swollen and stiff. I've put my hand in cold water to try and get rid of the swelling. Is that right and is there anything else I should do?

finding them " is like finding a needle in a hay stack " phone call after phone call "" just to find out they don`t accept it "" you would think they would place that info on there ad or listing in the phone book "'" to cut down on haveing to answer the phone all the time to people asking them if they accept it "" if it were on there listing we would know to call there or not """ !!!

I was recently diagnosed with IBS (six months ago) and the medication that the doctor gave me does not seem to be working. In fact, it seems to have gotten worse. I feel like I am in pain all the time. This is really taken over my life because I am scred to eat, scared to be out of the house for long periods of time, etc. My husband and I barely even have sex anymore because it causes me a lot of pain (the doctor says that is because of the IBS). To anyone out there who is also suffering from this, do you have any suggestions for how to deal with this?

I have really bad headaches almost everyday. In fact, sometimes I have the same headache for days at a time. They're not migraines, because I have had migraines in the past and I know what they feel like. I have taken a few things for them and nothing seems to help. What has worked best for you, my fellow headache sufferers?

Ok I smoke now but 5 years ago I quit.It lasted for 2 years and trouble happened and I started again.Hubby was in wreck, and other things went wrong. He was told then to quit but didn't and he actually talked me into starting again.(long story).Today he had a smirk on and told me he is quitting. He said in 2 days he only had 6 cigs.He implyed it was funny that I smoke and he don't.For 2 days he don't It was very hard for me before and I cant breath when I think about quitting now.Why is he being so smug about this. Why would he act this way when he knows that if he would have kept his mouth off of me before I wouldn't be smooking now.

I've quit smoking! Finally after a pack a day for 25 yrs. It's the hardest thing I've ever done. It's been 2 weeks today, and it's still a struggle to get throught the day. I've changed my habits..(I have coffee in a different place in the morning)..I instantly get up after dinner and do something...i've joined a gym, and I keep my conversations on the phone short..I don't drink alcohol, and when I do..it's minimal.
I love the way I smell....my hair smells clean still at the end of the day...and my house needs a major cleaning..my sense of smell is incredible now!
But I still crave that damn cancer stick...every day. Will that ever go away>>>please tell me it will.

I'm 16 and I used to have perfect vision and now I'm squinting to read power points from the back row in school. My vision isn't that bad (20/30), but is that normal for my eyes to be worsening like that? I thought that happened to like, old people.

i recently went to the snow yesterday and was in it for about 3 hours or so to a point where my feet were completely numb. when i got back into the truck it took about 20 minutes to get feeling back and they seem to be fine, except for my heal. the bottom back part of my heal is still a little numb/tingly, and i dont notice any color change. its been about a day or so and i was wondering Why its still somewhat numb?!?!?!
