I had a little arugment with some snow skis and the ski's won. I have torn ligaments on both sides of my left knee. I am using ice and elevating it along with a knee wrap. Any other suggestions?

if you haven't already gotten an mri, you are going to need one. most ligaments will need repaired if torn badly. Remember to keep your leg bent slightly, do not straighten it (if you can) cause if it's a small tear, it CAN heal with rest but if you keep it straight it can lock up.
good luck feel better!

If you have torn ligaments you made need surgery. Ligaments have very little blood flow causing them to not heal well, fairly small tears will heal given time but larger tears require medical assistance. An MRI can give the doctors an idea about whether surgery is necessary or not. Go see an orthopedist and he will probably set you up with an MRI and treat you from that point.

Good luck (knee injuries suck)
