They turn into big kittens at the slight hint of a cold, which is never a cold, but flu at the least. I don't get it but just think it's kinda cute!!! xxx

Not all men, don't worry I ain't sexist. It's just men seem softerwhen they have a cold, but yeah, it could be so women wait on them & if so, why not??? Get the attention while you can. xxx

I guess some guys are sissies lol. Apparently women are better at handling pain than women I don't know if that's true. But I do agree with you some men milk it when they have a cold.

Most men won't bother to even mention if they have the sniffles or even the flu. The only reason I have ever 'turned into a big kitten' as you put it is because people are more likely to wait on me. It's not that we can't handle illness, it's that you'll do more for us if we pretend we can't. You should understand that, it's not very different from any of the games women play on a regular basis.

You were right the first time, ALL MEN, act like babies not kittens, because kittens are actually cute and they don't act like babies. Men act like this because they liked the attention they received from their mothers when they get ill (yes, I am blaming their mothers, why not, everyone does). Don't encourage them by filling their every need (making chicken soup, blowing their nose). Think of it this way, would he do the same for you when you get sick, or does he say "forget about it" and head out with the boys for beer so he does not have to listen to your whining.

Don't tar us all with the same brush, sexist stereotypes are not acceptable!
In my nearly 19 years of working life I've had about 2 weeks off on the sick and I've had plenty of 'sniffles' in that time.

That's why we do it, for attention.
If we think we aren't getting enough attention we develop a really bad cold so we have to go to bed for a day and gets lots of sympathy.

I find it peculiar why women who develop a cold insist on going to work so they can spread it around! Stay away keep yourself in isolation give the rest of us a break!

Society says that men should be tough. For a lot of men that mean acting tough even when they aren't. When they get sick or are in danger you see the truth. Cute huh?
