i listen to music playing softly and set my radio on a timer. i also try reading! my eyes going across the pages gets my eyes heavy. Watching TV helps too! or you could wear yourself out by doing sum sort of workout like crunches. that's how i get to sleep! ^o^

OK it may sound like I'm nuts, But here goes something I learned in Yoga.
When you get into bed, lie on your back. Close you eyes and put your hands straight down next to your body. Now tighten up your whole body and let go . Now keeping your eyes closed, and saying (in back of your mind) My body has worked very hard today, and its tired. Starting at the feet ,and going up the whole body part by part saying I am so tired, my feet feel like lead weights. there so tired. then you do the same for the shins always saying they are like lead weight and I can't move them. Its a meditation, that really helped me when I worked 3 to 11pm shifts. to get me relaxed and before I knew it I was asleep. And there were times when I couldn't pick up my legs. You have to concentrate of what your doing. Good Luck.

here's some simple things can help:
don't watch tv or use pc b4 ur sleeping time by 1 hour,
arrange ur bedroom for sleeping and ur bed then get a warm shower then go to bed immediately ..and drink a cup of hot milk too that would be enough to make u sleep ...if u didn't try to keep all ur day thoughts away from ur mind ..and close ur eyes and imagine something u love...imagine that u r flying ...imagine that u r spending a day at beach in sunny day with ppl u love....till u fall in sleep.....and stop drinking cofee and dark tea alot that affect on ur body.....good luck

Get some exercise during the day.
Skip cafeine at bedtime.
Say your prayers or thank God for events of the day.
Try to focus on calming your face. If your face is calm, you will fall asleep.
