General Health Care - February 2007

I'm 13 and sometimes i get pains in my chest/neck which feel like a hole in my heart. Also occasionally pains in my left arm? My friend also gets the chest/neck pain and we both swim competitevly. What could this be?

I was dignoised with the disease a year ago and i've tried PT, medications, excericeses, massage theorpy, and about everything else, but nohting has helped so far. And since i'm 14, they won't do any injections or surgery, but i have horrible cronic pain. My family won't bring me to anymore specialists because nothing is working, and alot the things we have tried were expensive. What can i do, i can hardly stand up for more then ten minutes, and every day things are hard to do, even blowdrying my hair, and my back pain is almost unbearable everyday.

Any suggestions and/or recomendations would be superly apreciated.

My left upper middle of my back has been hurting since yesterday at work. i don't remember hurting myself at all yesterday. but when i twist or do things to my right diriction it hurts. Especially when i lift something over 5lbs in a slight angle.
on my way to work right now, don't know if its a good idea to work or not, but im going in anyway.
by the way i work in a restaurant kitchen if that helps with an answer.

This guy I really liked broke my heart, I mean I have been extremely sad since October, My best friend/ bro is back together with his old best friend and now they are dating... I just had a baby recently. Before that was not having any problems due to C4 and C5 as a result of working out regularly and keeping back strong. Over past month, lots of numbness and tingling in hands, thumb, mostly right side. Worried and want to make sure it is due to the C4 and C5 and not MS or other type of nerve issue. Most of my problems are during the nite and in the Am when I wake up. When I stand, walk, sit, feel better although a bit of numbness remains in right hand. Any suggestions???

Hello, i have had a niggly pain in my ear lobe and happens every few minutes and goes behind the lobeand lasts a few seconds. It has been doing this for 3 days now and am wondering if this has happened to anyone else. It is a bit more uncomfortable now and will go to get it checked tomorrow but wanted to know if anyone else has had it?

I took cipro for three days to get rid of a UTI. Although it is not completely gone, it is much better. A few days ago, I developed lower back pain. It's more annoying than anything else. Should I worry? I know that UTI's can often lead to a kindey infection, and since the cipro didn't clear it up completely, I'm not sure what this means.

My husband has a sore muscle (hamstring). We saw a specialist already and they prescribed him steroids..The pain has not gone away..How long does it usual last. He has another appointment with the specialist in one week for a followup. But he is in a lot of pain. It doesnt hurt when he is walking and standing but when he tries to lay down for bed his leg cramps up and his whole leg is hard as a rock.

Doctor or no doctor? How serious do u think it is?
Well, it all started out 4 years ago when me and my brother were jumping off of swings. Yeah I know pretty dumb. But I did it and landed on the side of my foot and colapsed. Well, I couldn't walk on it for like ...3 months. In total it hurt for 1 year non stop. Now it hurts on and off but now it really hurts.I was in a different country and/or contenent and didn't go to the doctor. Pretty dumb also. Well, after that it hurt whenever I just hurt it alittle it would hurt a lot. I'm going to the doctor but I have 2 wait for my mom to get back from a trip. What does it sound like 2 u? I also heard a loud crack when I landed. Does that mean I broke it? Is it possible that I broke it and it didn't grow back corrctly? What should I do? Do u think it is serious? surgery? Im only 12 FYI.

Ok... well 3 months ago we were on a cruise ship and I was swimming in the pool one later night with a friend... we are 12. I was swimming when I kicked the ladder to get in by aciddint. It really hurt when this happened. It hurt so much that I got out of the pool. I was bleeding all over my right side of my foot. I hit a nail that was on the ladder and it hurt very much. My friend asked one of the workers who cleaned up the dishes if she could have a napkin. He gave her a nice napkin and I was holding it agenst my ankle. The nail made a pretty deep hole in my foot. I the went back 2 our caben and put a bandage on. It hurt if I walked on it for like 4 days but I could eventually. A while ago I noticed my foot start to hurt if I walked. Could this have something 2 do with the nail? Yesterday when I went to bed I also noticed that by that area were the nail peirced me it was red.... What could this be? Is it serious? What should I do now? Today it doesn't hurt..but who knows what it is?

it started when my brother pulled my right arm really hard accidently (when i was stretching out) and clicked it...ever since, its been clicked really loudly...a snapping sound.

Im worried if this would have some severe problems in the future becasue the click is persisting even till today (its been months!)...and the clicks getting more and more softer as though its getting used to clicking - this isnt good is it?

What should i do?

For the last 3 weeks I have been having bad pains in my back and muscle spasms they did an x-ray and found I have severe inflamation in my back and they have now ordered an MRI. Today I noticed that I am not having much pain could this be due to the fact of the meds they have put me on and it is masking what the problem is? I don't want to do un needed tests. They have me taking ibprofen 600mg and cyclobenzapr 5mg. Any help or advice.
