I woke up this morning with a sharp pain around my heart. I figured it was my ribs because everytime I laughed, moved quickly or took a deap breath it hurt.

Does this sound like a cracked rib, broken rib, bruised rib or nothing to worry about?

There's a cut on the bottom of my foot, my big toe, actually, and it was most likely from it being dry. I pushed it closed, it's not bleeding or anything, and when it does bleed, it's only because I was jumping around too much. Normal walking doesn't cause it to bleed, and there's no pain or anything in my foot. If I put vaseline on the cut area, with it help it heal any fast, since it's a moisture related issue? I don't have any neosporin at the moment, the closest thing I've got is the Neosporin lip treatment...and I don't think that'll do much. Will vaseline help? Or are there any other at-home products that could help it heal faster? If anything, I put peroxide on it earlier. So what's the next thing I can do instead?

About 3 hours ago, I smashed my middle right hand finger on my car door. Immediately rather than bleed, the bottom of my nail is bluish black. The tip of my finger feels really numb and its throbbing.. I don't think it's broken because I can move it. Bending it and Grasping stuff though is painful. I looked already and found out that the color is probably blood and I read about how to relieve the blood. My question is for advice--from personal experience. What I should do? My finger is my dominant hand. I've tried ice, but i almost have to force that because that just makes it feel worse

I am not prone to headaches but I have this pain on the left side of my head that will hurt for 5-30 minutes then it goes away for a little while but comes back. I may not have any pain for most of the day then it comes out of nowhere. Even taking OTC pain relievers doesn't help.

i just had my tonsils removed, the doctor prescribed codeine, but it does nothing, and at best it is active for an hour, tops.

I have a prescription for voltaren/diclofenac and that usually takes care of everything, but i was told not to take that immediately after surgery for fear of bleeding. Its been a few days now, can i take that instead of the codeine ?

I have a wound from a car accident where a piece of glass went through my ear so it was kind of like i got my ears pierced unintentionally.

It's healing now, or so I thought but recently pus just started coming out when i pushed it too hard. I clean and disinfect it every day but does this necessarily mean infection?

My seven year old son woke up about 4 days ago complaining about pain in his left upper leg/inner thigh (adductor muscle region). I dismissed the pain as possibly "growing pains", or a minor injury that he may have incurred the previous day. He didn't mention the pain again until this evening at bedtime. This time he is complaining about the same area but that the pain is much more intense. He told me that he has been trying to ignore the pain in his leg but that it is now getting worse, and to the point he can no longer bend his leg upward toward his chest without screaming and crying in pain. I know that the pain is very intense for him, because he screams and tears immediately begin rolling out of his eyes. He recalls no injury in the past that may have attributed to this pain. The skin in the area shows no signs of trauma or injury, and there are no red marks or signs of clotting. What could be wrong with him, and should this be seen by his pediatrician immediately?

she tore her right shoulder cup. When she was lifting a patient's head to place a pillow under it he snapped his head back really hard and then the work people send her to their clinic and they just told her is was just a sprain and they sent her back to work but she said the pain was to much and that its more than a sprain so she went to her own Dr. and they did MRI and saw torn shoulder cup and so she had surgery she had surgery 2wice on her rite shoulder and since she used her left arm so much a cist began to grow in that shoulder so she had to get surgery on that one also.
