Only recently have i found myself with mild to severe neck pain. I expect the pain is as a result of sleeping awkwardly. Movement of the neck is restricted so that when i look to the left, i feel a searing pain stemming from the area behind my left shoulder. Im not sure if its something that will improve with rest or deteriorate without intervention?

We have recently moved at work and I am getting headaches and stess as I have a machine looking like a server close to me ( I was told it was not the server but I can't remember the name of it). To make it worse the air conditioning system is just as noisy and near enough above my head. I was told I will get use to it but I doubt you get use to headaches. Am I within my rights to ask for something to be done about this situation? Is it actually a health hazzard? Anyone with useful experience, opinion or websites?

Hi! I'm a 15 (almost 16 :D) year old girl and I've been having pain in my upper back (it might technically be my neck??) for about a year. It's been pretty bad these past 6 months in that whenever I stand up for a period of time it gets pretty painful. Sometimes it hurts after 5 minutes, sometimes after 10 or maybe even 15. But it gets pretty bad. It's worse when the floor is harder. I'm going to the chiropractor tomorrow after begging my mom for a LONG TIME! I went to the doctor and they couldn't do anything for it but crack my neck, which helped a little. I'm bringing in the X-rays from that day(which was a few months ago) to the chiropractor with me tomorrow. What do you think they will do to me at the chiropractor?! I'm kinda nervous.

OOOH and I should add- I messed it up in weight training last year, and it's the area where like if you move your fingers down from the top of your head, it's the first big bump/bone you feel....that's the area that hurts...

If I accidently hit my arm on the dryer.. big ugly bruise. If I run into the end table....big ugly bruise. Besides changing all different colors like if I had been punched or beaten up. My bruises takes forever to go away. Any thoughts or comments why.

I'm on my feet several hours a day for work & before the night is over, they are burning & swelling. I have to put foot cream on them on breaks to make it through the night. By the time I get home I can barely walk. I've it for almost a year & been to the doc twice. Done all the exercises as well. Any other suggestions?

I am at school during my free time right now and I am on the computer and the nurse can't give you pain medicine unless your parents give them to her.

Call it the most off the wall concept, but it actually works (not one of those drunk hiccups though) I use a tech. called the "Old little pinky in the ear" trick. Now it does sound like the most off the wall concept and many people might say, "Im not going to stick my little finger in my ear", but it really does work. Next time you get those hiccups and it is just driving you crazy, try sticking your little finger in your ear and see if they stop. I was told this when I was about 13 yrs old and I thought too it was off the wall, but to this day I swear by it.

At 18 I'm still such a crybaby when I'm in pain!

As a professional dancer I often experience painful injuries.
Yesterday I sprained my ankle and, even if I tried to contain myself as much as I could, after a while I burst into tears.

It was embarassing and it always makes me fell such a baby!
Last week my teacher had the same accident and she didn't shed one tear.

I had always though that, by growing, I would have been able to improve my reactions, but now I wonder if this can happen...

What do you think: is it true that crying is for kids only?
Can you still cry for bad physical pain?

Thanks for your answer

But I am not smoking now. I quit 4 days ago. How will this effect me? I am on chantix so the cravings are not bad at all.
My mouth tastes like trash now.

Recently we got a new puppy, have had work commitments, social commitments, home renovations etc...and I've realized that over the last 2 months I have only been getting an average of 6hrs sleep per night.
Is this dangerous to my mental health? Can it be sustained? And if so, for how long until I burn out?
