this may not be related to a TIA as with this confusion, speech impediment and one i sided weakness is common. if she is sick with this double vision take her to A and E

Her doctor would be the only one to really know what is going on with your friend. I don't understand why she is hesitating to go, but it's her health and why not stay as healthy as possible?

get her off the sauce! Or not she's old, let her drink and be happy, who are you to stand in the way......just don't let her drive! If your old you shouldn't be on the road either. Just hang out and tie on on with your friend. Be there for her.
