Recently we got a new puppy, have had work commitments, social commitments, home renovations etc...and I've realized that over the last 2 months I have only been getting an average of 6hrs sleep per night.
Is this dangerous to my mental health? Can it be sustained? And if so, for how long until I burn out?

You can get by on 6 hours of sleep but not only will it affect your mental health it will affect your physical health too.

I've lived like that for years - seems to be ok. 6 hours is actually a good night for me- many nights it's more like 4-5 hours if I'm lucky.

You can for awhile and then it will hit you all at once. You'll get sick easier and just not feel right. The older you get the worse it gets.
