I have disinfected as much as I could, now my husband is going to work and I am scared of getting sick.. I am scared to be alone if I was sick. Does anyone know what I could do to make my self feel better? or does anyone else have similar fears? what should I do?

I had surgery 11 days ago and had an IV that was used to administer general anesthesia. My veins are hard to find and the first IV the nurse tried didn't take. So she tried higher up on my arm the second time and it worked. I bruised at the two sites and a few days after surgery it looked all better. Then all of the sudden about a week after surgery the bruises are back and it's sore on both spots. In a follow up appointment the doctor asked if I had any problems at the IV site and I said no because I didn't at the time. Is it unusual for bruises/pain to come back at an IV site like this? What kind of problem(s) could it be if any?

My bookbag is always too heavy and it has been that way since elementary school. I pack correctly, use both shoulder straps (and they are quite wide), and I only bring home what I need. Still, my bookbag weighs 30-50 lbs. I go to the chiropractor a lot but of course it's only temporary. My back is always way out of alignment when I go and I've already had problems with hurting myself by just bending over (without the bookbag). I don't want to be humpbacked by the time I start college. Is there anything I can do for more permanent relief? I don't know what else to do, but I would like to be able to move in the future.

I have been expieriencing back pain throughout my entire back near the bones starting from the very top of my back bone all the way down my spine to my tailbone. It hurts to move, flatten out on my bed, and the bottom above my butt where the bones are pops when I lay down flat. Why is this? Could it be my scoliosis, even though doctors say my scoliosis is fine?

Hypothetically speaking if a soldier serving in Iraq was to have leave and did not want to return to a war zone and had the idea of breaking one of his bones, what bone would be the easiest to break and least painful way to do it. hypothetically of course, and there will lots of alchol involved hypothetically. which break would not leave the most long term effect

I had a nose job back in May 2006 and one of the advices my surgeon told me, was not to start gym exercises that cause me too much strain.

Was wondering if anyone else here has had a cosmetic nose job and if they've had any problems with going back to the gym doing weights etc...

Many thanks and Happy New Year to all

I had a wisdom tooth pulled earlier today and the dentist gave me vicodin for the pain. It helped earlier when I took it about 4 hours ago. Well on the bottle is says take every 6 hours as needed but I'm in a lot of pain right now. Do you think 4 hours is enough time to go ahead and take another I'm practically in tears here.

I just got my ear pierced again two days ago. i think the left side might be infected. it was fine yesterday, but this morning when i was washing my hair, i pulled on my stud. it hurt so bad, but i cleaned it and everything. however when i went to go put ear rings on the piercing under it (this was done when i was a baby), it hurt. So, i touched my ear love and the left side is "fatter", "thicker" than the other. After that, i went to go look in the mirror and the back had blood and what i think was yellowish, white puss coming out of it. Does this mean that it is infected, if so how would i care for it, should i take the stuf out, etc. please go in detail
