I regularly give blood, I was just wondering, how much do they take from you per donation.

My blood type is O RH positive... what does that mean?

My parents used to call them growing pains, but I am now 22 and still have them....wtf. My sister calls them weather pains, because when the weather changes that's when it usually starts. Pain anywhere from the elbows, knees, arms, all around. I never broke any bones or anything so why do I have this???

Why would I still need 2 gallons of water if I was hooked up to an IV? Then my plastic surgeon left my drains in for a month and gave me medication that he knew I was allergic to, but he says ... "you only break out in a rash" Even with the drains in, I still built up a lot of fluid between my belly button and ribs. The plastic surgeon did not have me come into his office for 6 days and did not drain the fluid, since I drains in me. If I am allergic to the medication could that have been the reason i built up so much fluid? Now, a year later, my whole entire stomach is scar tissue, very painful and my stomach is bigger then it was before the tummy tuck. I weigh the same as I did after the tummy tuck, but i believe scar tissue weighs more since it is a mass, so i probably weigh a little less. My plastic surgeon says there is nothing more he can do. I have been to other plastic & genaral surgeons and they send me back to my original surgeon. Any suggestions from anyone?

and the doctors have said it is just a bug and to let it run it`s course that was 3 weeks ago now she has been taken to hospital as she has got worse, why do doctors not just examine the patient and keep an eye on them to make sure they are getting better, the appointment was on the phone as the gp did`nt think it was neccesary to bring her along to the surgery, she is only 1 year old

The doctor put me on drops to soften the bad wax build up I have in my right ear. It is a little painful and I can't hear. How long will it take for the drops to remove the wax? And I know--no more q-tips!!

For the last few months, I've been getting a muscle ache on my lower back, right above the butt, after 10 to 15 minutes of running on a treadmill. I've changed my sneakers - got new ones and that really didn't help. I've tried stretching right before the run too, but that didn't help much either. This is becoming a real pain... and preventing me from pursuing more aggressive training. Any help would be extremely helpful.

I hacked the nail off my big toe in a garden accident a few years ago. It has been growing back - but sideways and upwards. Think it's gotta come off, but 2 peeps I spoke to say its really painful. My pain threshold not that great - OK, I'm a bit of a baby! Anybody had it done?

Almost 3 weeks ago I hurt my knee running. One doctor I saw told me it was a bone bruise and one told me that it was prepatellar bursitis, but I saw somebody in sports medicine last week who told me that what I was describing sounded like a meniscal tear. I had an MRI to confirm and the results indicate medial meniscal intrasubstance degeneration which may or may not be a tear.
It's quite painful when I walk, it pops, and the joint line is very tender. What are my options in terms of treating this? I'm in my 20s in case that makes a difference. I assume the basic scenario is surgery or conservative tx. I'm terrified of both the cost and the prospect of even minor surgery but this injury is making me quite miserable.

I recently have had trouble sleeping at night. I find it really hard to stay asleep for more then 3 hours. After this it's almost impossible for me to fall back asleep. Is there any advice on falling back asleep or just being able to longer without taking any sleeping pills or medicine? Also I do eventually get fall asleep after fours hours or so later but is terribly inconvenient for me. Is there a way to fall back asleep about 30 minutes after I wake up again.
Additional Info: I usually sleep in a quiet room without a lot of light (except my computer).

I can barely move. My father says it's because I'm still coughing from a cold, but I don't know if it's something more serious. It hurts when I touch below my rib cage, when I pull in my stomach, and when I throw it out. I can't take deep breaths. What should I do, and why does it hurt?

Tonight when I got home around 12 a.m. my right ear seemed as if it had water in it. I had taken a bath eariler today but it just started feeling this way. About 3 a.m. I couldn't hear out of my ear so I put in some hydrogen proxide. I put in just a few drops. I let it bubble then tilted my head to let it drain. I am still not able to hear out of it. What do I need to do?
