They may have nicked a nerve... address it with your doctor immediately and ask for his opinion.

Nerves heal at a much slower rate than everything else and feeling may return in six months to a year. If it doesn't regenerate in that time, it could be permanent.

Just a suggestion, but you may want to document any correspondence regarding this matter. It sucks to take things to litigation, but losing sensation in your cheek and lips might be something that's important.

How long has it been? it may take in to a 365 days for the sensation to come again back if a nerve is broken. not something you're able to do to velocity it up. particularly purely learn how to not harm your self through loss of sensation. you may desire to burn your self without understanding it, or decrease your self. Sorry yet there is not something you're able to do to heal a nerve in spite of if this is completely broken. yet supply it time, it may heal yet!

ohhh, sounds like they hit a nerve in your face/jaw... goto a different doctor soon before you get bells palsey...( when your face/nerves die and you cant control them at all) get it checked by a quialified doc, not the one that did the surgery!!! ps.. you may even have a malpractise lawsuit on that doctor, check it out..
