I have headaches frequently so my mom took me to the doc to get it checked out. They told me it was a sinus infection and put me on antibiotics. They worked, but after I used them all, the headaches returned. I went to the doctor again and they told me that they knew it wasn't a sinus infection, but they couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. So they gave me an injection of dopamine and referred me to a neurologist. The dopamine didn't work at all, so we went to the neuro. I had to get an MRI to rule out anything serious, and I turned out clean. This brought them to the conclusion that I have migraines (even though I'm not sensitive to light or loud sounds.. aren't these common with migraines?) so they recommended that I take Topamax (isn't this the same thing as dopamine?). They warned me though, that Topamax may reduce the ability to think coherently so I turned the offer down. Now I still have the headaches and regular painkillers like ibuprofen don't do anything. Help?
