had no trauma/impact to my face and it only came on on christmas day - drs v busy until next tuesday - never had migrainesand dont have a headache - any ideas??

did u scratch ur eye or something??cos then u could have scracted the retina.is there a blood clot or anything?anyway,cup some water in ur hand and blink in it,so that the water touches the eye.And whatever else u do,GO TO A DOCTOR!!!He'll know best,and u've wasted enough time already.

Sounds like a cluster headache, especially if you eye is watering for no reason. This is a type of migraine which you can have for up to a week. Take some paracetamol or ibuprofen and rest for a while and you should be fine. If you are worried, see a doctor.

Could be sinus. Does it hurt more when you bend over. Have you had a bit of a cold. If this is the case sinutab from the chemist are good. Hope this helps, if not see the Dr asap.

Karen see a doctor as pain in the head-eye can be dangerous.!!!

I would guess this is something normal and good... GET TO THE DOCTOR! Unexplained pain in the head is never a good thing!

Does it get worse when you are drinking tea or coffee?

If so, take the spoon out of your cup?
