St John Ambulance provide first aid training and you should be able to find a division in London, look on the web site already given, in another answer.

you will also get trained in more than first aid as you. you also get to out on public duty

i am St John ambulance trained, in Wales and hold a current first aid at work, medical gases, radios, and a care course certificate.

i have done over 150 hours of public duty this year, this helps me gain experience of dealing with different things.

in fact this year i have been told i was to be charge of several duties, and not just assume the lead when i was the most experience member on that duty.

St John Ambulance is great way to meet people and make new friends.

You can join the St. John's Ambulance Volunteers. Get trained and go to events with St. John's colleagues to offer first aid to the public.
ALSO - Most places of employment need a qualified first aider on sight, so if you have a job and are willing to do the 4 day course the employer should pay for it.

Also it needs renewing every 3 years - a two day course - with a fee.

Check out the website

Well first of all I completed a first aid course not so very long ago.
If you are looking for to start a first aid course, try out St.John's Ambulance,British Red Cross.etc. I think they have free first aid courses running most of the time. I done my one at college. Best of Luck.

I dont know if these actually excist or not now but the ST. Johns ambulance used to do it, The Red X used to do it, and the civil defence corp used to do it. Look through the book babe and see if they are there. If not why not just ask at the local clinic or cab, I am sure they will know of one. Good luck I used to do it and it is good.

Emergency Services is a lackluster, thankless, physically and emotionally draining job. I hope you have as much fun in it as I do!
