I just got my ear pierced again two days ago. i think the left side might be infected. it was fine yesterday, but this morning when i was washing my hair, i pulled on my stud. it hurt so bad, but i cleaned it and everything. however when i went to go put ear rings on the piercing under it (this was done when i was a baby), it hurt. So, i touched my ear love and the left side is "fatter", "thicker" than the other. After that, i went to go look in the mirror and the back had blood and what i think was yellowish, white puss coming out of it. Does this mean that it is infected, if so how would i care for it, should i take the stuf out, etc. please go in detail

ok first when you had your ear piercing done did they give you any cleaner to take home to care for your new piercings? If so use that. If not take peroxide first and a Q-tip and dip Q-tip in peroxide and clean around the infected ear and It won't hurt to do the same with the other ear but use a clean Q-tip. Then take alcohol the rubbing kind and a Q-tip and do the whole process over again. Peroxide cleans out the infection and alcohol heals it. Make sure to turn your studs in your ears so no cartilage seals the hole. if it still looks the same I would consult the ear piercer or a doctor. Leave the studs in also do not change the ear rings until the holes are healed completely. I hope this helps you out .

try to keep the earring in. if you take it out, the hole will most likely close up, sealing in the infection. it is possible that you are allergic to the metal in the earrings. i can only wear silver, which are more expensive. clean your ear with sea salt dissolved in warm water. you can get the sea salt at wal-mart in the seasoning aisle. don't use alcohol or peroxide--it will dry out your ear and irritate it. you will also want to use a triple antibiotic ointment like neosporin. do this like 3-4 times a day at the least. i had to do this when i got my nose pierced and it became infected. talk about gross!! if by tuesday (since monday is a holiday) it is not getting any better, get to a doctor. you may need oral antibiotics. good luck!!

aggravated, i've got had my ears pierced for over 5 years, and If I placed much less costly rings in for a protracted quantity of time they get like that. in simple terms placed some Gold, Platinum, Silver, or chrome steel ones in, and it is going to go away in 2-5 days. it truly is not needed to wash them consistently, and touching them makes them greater aggravated. we don't have adequate counsel to confirm no be counted if or no longer you're allergic to something. yet you are able to no longer rule that out. So substitute them into between the 4 metals listed above and wait a week, if it hasn't helped visit the scientific expert, or a piercer.

It will begin to itch, and then it will become crusty around the hole. When it gets worse, it will for pus around it and drain, then you will see tiny red blood veins coming from it down your neck as the earlobe turns scarlett. Sometimes, you won't notice until you feel a lump, generally in the back at the holes entrance, that is a pus bag. Looks like a huge pimple ready to burst.

Yellowish white puss - That's the result of white blood cells attacking an infection.

Time to see the doctor (if you want to keep your earlobe).

I left mine in and just cleaned it 2 to 3 times a day with peroxide. make sure you turn it in the hole several times a day also. you can also take Motrin for the swelling.
