Hi, I was walking barefoot (stupid I know) in my backyard, and that night, I discovered that I had a tiny black rose-like thorn in my foot, just below my big toe and is so painful.

I'm a whimp, so i'd like to know any ways of removing it without tweezers.

Why are hot baths so relaxing, physically and mentally? I get that the water takes your weight, but thats only some of it. When I get into a hot bath I find the warmth incredibly soothing, but I dont understand why, what is it about heat that relaxes muscles and mind?

How do I know If my workers comp claim is accepted or denied?, Who says yes or no. My benefits were suspended and my employer said it was not work related because they thought I had an epileptic seizure but it wasnt like that. I had head concussion and a nerve problem. in my lower back I got an attorney but how do I know If my claim is accepted or denied who says yes or no the board or the company?

Hi people, arghh my hip has been hurting for days now when i walk. I've over done it with the jogging, now i've a horrible pain on my left handside when i walk. Any advice on how to treat it? Obviously i can't jog for a while till it's better...thanks

I have this reoccuring pain in the center of my back between my shouldblades. It comes and goes. Mostly after I have eaten or in middle of the night. I thought it might be the start of gall bladder problems, but now I am not so sure. Has anyone else had this and can tell me what it is. One of my eyes hurts and stings and feels like there is something in it..........I looked in the mirror and aside from it being red and teary, on the white part there is like a thick layer of clear stuff that moves when touched, but doesn't wipe away....it almost feels like it is a contact lense that has gotten stuck to my eye, but i don't think it is. I do wear contacts, but have my glasses on right now. It is really freaky looking, never seen anything like this before........any ideas??

I take Percocet 10mg for my chronic lower back pain. I am building up a tolerance to all the pain meds the doc gives me & was wondering if I should try a more "natural" approach to helping relieve my pain. Should I try smoking some of the green to help my back? If anyone knows, or has used it for this purpose I would appreciate any feedback. I know of a doctor who prescribes it for back pain, but didn't want to go see him if it wasn't worth the time. Please any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i've been wearing this type of contacts for a while and never had problems. i don't wear them very often also, just 2-4 days a week, and only for a couple of hours and i take good care of my eyes.

today my right eye reli hurt (felt like there were pieces of sand scratching my eye) so later when i took it out and put my glasses back on, everything was blurry in my right eye. my left eye is perfectly fine, but seems like i can see pretty well without contacts or glasses w/ my right eye. and i'm sure i took the contacts out and there r 2 of them in the trash can right now...

my right eye still feels irritated and is pretty red. i talked to my optometrist and she said i should wait for a day to see if it stays the same. but does anyone know what the problem could be?

I opened a dbs savings plus account on september 06 just 3 mths ago. Just 3 weeks ago, someone hack my pc and the hacker access my DBS ibankin user id and pw and help himself to $3k and transfered to ladbrokes using Enets. I asked my MP for help and he had being helpful to write to the bank and police to expedite my case. But somehow the case got a bit jam. Last week, i fall off a 3 legged chair at a kopi shop and hurt my leg, a few days ago, i was being challenged by an old man, he was at the wrapping gift counter at Isetan in front of me, somehow i dun know how i offend him and he say something to me. Just 2 days ago, i slip n fall down in the kitchen hurting my bums. Am i being very unlucky? I cant seem to concentrate on something also. whats wrong with me?

I am only 21 and have two herniated disks between lumbar L4-L5 and L5-S-1. I have gotten an MRI and they are compressing my nerve, I believe the lower one was protruding 5mm, and 4mm for the other disk with disk height roughly cut in half and bottom two disks have lost a good portion of their water content. I have had pain everyday for 7 months now, and though it is to a manageable point, I am not able to do any real activities like running, training, and basketball. I have went to see chiros, did PT, elec. therapy, decompression, traction, ice/heat, vitamins, exercises, and had cortisone shots with nothing seeming to help. I am looking at possibly going for a more invasive treatment now. Has any one been through this with a similar situation and been able to really come back? It might sound dumb, but it is important to me to be active again, at least for a few years, I'd rather die at 30 being able to move then like this for the rest of my life, its not living for me.

I lost my voice last night. This happens to me about once a year. But this time it's bad. I really can't speak at all tonight and I'm scared. :( My daughter (age 5) wonders why Mommy can't talk to her. I am a teacher and I need my voice! Help! Does anyone have any suggestions, remedies, etc.? Also, has anyone else ever had this happen to them? The doctor told me to not speak but that is impossible! Could it be made worse by not sleeping enough? I appreciate your help!!!!!!!!!!1

I am so proud of myself. Finally I did it - cold turkey babe - cold turkey . My skin looks better. I walk now 7 miles a day without grasping for fresh air. I can climb up 5 story building. Sex is excellent -

Its only 1 month - can you imagine one year will do....

If you smoke - quit now - and I am sure you will agree with me only within 1 month....yahooo

since i will be getting bunion surgery and feet will be in casts,i will have to probably use a bedpan. I will ask the nurse what i will use, she will probably say a bedpan. But since i feel uncomterable of having her see me, is it alright if i ask for something simpler like a diaper. Do they usualy let you choose the method you want to do, bed pan or diaper? is diaper a smater choice. I will be spending the night for 1 night. I am 12 years old.
