I lost my voice last night. This happens to me about once a year. But this time it's bad. I really can't speak at all tonight and I'm scared. :( My daughter (age 5) wonders why Mommy can't talk to her. I am a teacher and I need my voice! Help! Does anyone have any suggestions, remedies, etc.? Also, has anyone else ever had this happen to them? The doctor told me to not speak but that is impossible! Could it be made worse by not sleeping enough? I appreciate your help!!!!!!!!!!1

It is mostly a viral illness and the magic remedy is to have alot of hot drinks. At the same time you shouldnot have smoke, sweets and spices. Enough rest is also important.
