I rely on ear plugs to stay asleep. I live in a city and there are so much noise even in the middle of the night. Whenever I don't use my ear plugs, I find myself woken up by sirens from the street or noises from neighbors in the same apartment building. Hence the dilemma. I don't want to risk sleeping through my alarm while I'm wearing ear plugs, but I don't want to make my alarm clock so loud that the neighbors will be disturbed.

I'd like some recommendations for an alarm clock that doesn't use sound or music to wake you up (perhaps vibration?). Which one is good? Have you used it?

I broke into a sweat and the technician said it was normal, kind of like your body being in a microwave oven. I was also very tired for the rest of the day and wondered if the MRI had anything to do with it.

One most important issue regarding the future of pharmacy - the separation of prescribing from dispensing of medicine.

I have read that in most jurisdictions (such as the United States), pharmacists are regulated separately from physicians. Specifically, the legislation stipulates that the practice of prescribing must be separate from the practice of dispensing.
However, in the minority of jurisdictions (particularly in Asian such as China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore), doctors are allowed to dispense drugs themselves and the practice of pharmacy is integrated with that of the physician.
The reason for the majority rule is the high risk of a conflict of interest. Otherwise, the physician has a financial self-interest in "diagnosing" as many conditions as possible, and in exaggerating their seriousness, because he or she can then sell more medications to the patient.

Why is then Singapore so slow in adopting the system used by the US for so many years?

I always get these little muscle flickers, mostly in my stomach and legs. Does anybody know what causes them?
Could my heart murmur have anything to do with it?

I just had a nosebleed for like an hour. I used to get them all the time, this is the first one i had in a long time though. one of my doctors told me i have a lack of phosphorus in my system, but yet i think its because i fell off the bleachers and landed on my nose when i was in high school.

Anyways some say to hold the bridge of the nose, or pinch the soft part. I usually hold the soft part, the bridge of my nose hurts otherwise, and look up or down? I look down because i dont want the blood to run down my throat. That would make me vomit. Soooo.... any sugestions? ----thanks!

What is it about Nyquil that makes me so drowsy and puts me to sleep? I know there is alchohol in it, but I can consume a LOT more alchohol than that and not be that tired. Is there something else in it that makes people tired? Also, is it bad to take it when I don't need it? Sometimes, if I am upset or just can't sleep for some reason I will take it to help me fall asleep. I took it every night for a week when my bf broke up with me. Is that pretty bad?

I was down for atleast 6 months before anyone was able to get them to stop. I was told that it was due to insufficient seritonine. This was supposibly determined by a blood draw.
I have been taking Lexapro (Celexa) for the past 5 years and thought that i would see if i could make a try at getting off this medication and after 2 days the attacks came back.
Is there any thing that i can do to increase Seritonine, so that i can eventually get off this medication, also i was told that you cant determine Seritonine levels by blood draws that you have to have other tests to determine this. since the attacks started back then i now have anxiety about little things that i used to take for granted like: swimming , traveling , and multiple other things. I just wantto get my life back and am looking for insight from other people that may have the same things I do.
Thanks

one doctor gave me an impairment of 8% and another 5%. The one of 5% spoke with work comp lawer and now has been against me ever since. Up for settlement hearing and i still need meds. was informed that I can not come back in the future and ask for medical treatment. I was also told that I will give up my rights to sue for more money. Is there anyone out there that has info for me. They are offering $4,000, but what am i to do about my meds. I only take one and that is darvocet and there are having a problem with that. Any info would be appreciated. I haven't worked in 2 years because of my injury. But the doctor that spoke with work comp lawyer tells me to follow the restrictions of the FCE which was done with the recommendations of work comp. I can sit for 1 to 1 1/2 hrs, standing the same. bending cause pain and I don't even try to reach over my head too much.
