Its cake! Takes about two seconds. You pick your color then they take the wrap that they use and wet it, then wrap it around your wrist. Thats it all done.

On your thumb ligament? I suspect if it's a cast, it won't be a big deal at all. It will be itchy as hell, but odds are you are just getting a splint.

They PROBABLY will not cast it ONLY splint & wrap it!

MOST doctors don't cast much any more. They rather let it heal on it's own or lightly split it.

Make sure you keep it elevated above your heart.
Ice it when necessary
Take medication for pain & swelling.
