i have had this ear ache on and off for about a year. I have been to 4 different doctors one of which was an e.n.t. i am currently taking ciproflaxcin because my current doc thinks i may have a kidney infection.

I've had a lot of ear problems and tried all of the things that people have been mentioning and have had varying success with each of them. I've also had ear infections where antibiotics have been pretty much the only thing that would clear it up so you may have to try another specialist and see what they say or if they can offer you a different antibiotic.

Try a 50/50 mix of vinegar and water . tilt your head and use a syringe to drop some in your ear. leave for 15 sec then tip it out.
repeat with the other ear

My Doctor told me to take Sudafed & it reliefed the pressure within 2 days.Good Luck

You can put some warm sweet oil in your ear canal.This can help with some of the discomfort.
