My blood type is type O. Does that have any meaning to it besides what blood I have???

No. it is not an astrological sign or a personality trait.
Some ethnic groups happen to have more of one blood type than others but no group completely lacks any of the blood types so type can't even tell that ethnic information.

Here are the general ideas of each blood type. The Rh factor plays no role in the blood type/personality idea:
Type O:
Type O's are outgoing, and very social. They are initiators, although they don't always finish what they start. Creative and popular, they love to be the center of attention and appear very self confident.
Type A:
While outwardly calm, they have such high standards (perfectionists) that they tend to be balls of nerves on the inside. Type A's are the most artistic of the blood groups. They can be shy, are conscientious, trustworthy, and sensitive.
Type B:
Goal oriented and strong minded, type B's will start a task and continue it until completed, and completed well. Type B's are the individualists of the blood group categories and find their own way in life.
Type AB:
Type AB's are the split personalities of the blood groups. They can be both outgoing and shy, confident and timid. While responsible, too much responsibility will cause a problem. They are trustworthy and like to help others.

There is NO correlation between blood type and personality. There is one advantage to having type O however. It makes you a universal donor, or recipient, depending the positive-negative factors. That simply means you could save more lives through transfusions, and if you needed blood; there is a much greater chance that they would have it in stock.

It means that if you are O negative, you are a universal donor. It also means that you cant accept any blood type except your own, so if you get hurt and need blood, better hope they have your type. Donate if you can.
As for it meaning something more, stop fishing for meaningless things to identify you. You are you, your blood type is your blood type, nothing more.
Also, if you have a negative bloodtype, you will have to get a Rhogam shot if you are ever pregnant. Nothing big. It has to do with preventing blue baby syndrome

some do claim that blood group reveals the personality of the person....but i guess its still in the nascent phase of research...however wid o there will be something attached to ur bld grp like positive or negative.....if o-ve u r a universal donor n also for once u can take o+ve bld ....however not for the second time ....again during ur second preganacy u need to get an antiRH vaccine to vaoid sinsiter reaction to urself n ur baby .

Your blood type means no more than what it means if your were born with blond hair, gray eyes, and a mole by your belly button. They are genetic traits. They make you WHAT you are, a unique human being created by God. Your personality, values, beliefs, and experiences form WHO you are.
