Activated charcoal works the best for me. You can buy capsules at health food or nutrition stores.

I don't know if you have tums over there or not but they work wonders. My doctor also told me that milk is really great for heartburn. She suggested eating a bowl of cheerios whenever I get the heartburn because the milk helps a lot and the cheerios put something bland in your tummy to help absorb the acid that is causing the heartburn. Yogurt is also really great. I must say I'm jealous though! 8 months and you're just now getting heart burn. I've been having terrible heartburn since I was about 18 weeks along. My morning sickness was really bad (I lost about 15 pounds just because I couldn't keep food down) and around 17 weeks my morning sickness lifted and I felt great and just when I thought God was giving me a break the heartburn kicked in lol. Good luck with the rest of your pregnanct, congrats on the baby and I wish you a safe and healthy delivery!!

MINT is NOT a good remedy. If the heartburn is due to acid reflux, then that means there is a problem with the cardiac sphincter, the closure between the esophagus and the stomach. Mint can actually relax this sphincter, causing it to stay open, allowing acid from the stomach to pass up into the esophagus easier. Caffeine and spicy foods can also aggravate heartburn. Stick with blander foods, and don't eat right before bed, or lay down right after eating.

Chronic heartburn is usually from acid reflux - stomach acid is getting past the little valve and into your esophagus. You also should know some natural ways to treat your heartburn. Learn them here https://bitly.im/aM9Z6

The most immediate thing you can do is to stop drinking coffee and cola. Smoking is not good either, but that might be harder to stop. Don't over-eat. Don't lie down too soon after eating. Don't burp too much - this carries acid up with the burp.

Papaya tablets will cure heartbearn in a flash. Nature's Sunshine makes them and so do many other herb manufacturers. Get a big bottle and just tell your bf to munch on a few (they taste sweet) and they will get rid of his heartburn. He can take as many as he needs and eat them whenever. Many people in my family suffer with heartburn and they all take Papaya and it works great.

one of the natural things to try is to elevate the head end of the bed, just put a brick under the legs on the head end, otherwise if cost is an issue then prilosec OTC should cost in between 20-30 dollars for a month's supply, depending on where you buy it from, all thebest
