General Health Care - September 2006

I just started working out again, and I love to listen to my mp3 player while I do so. I know that sound that close to your eardrum can't be good for you. How badly can it affect your hearing and also, what are some tips to keep the damage minimal? Thank you.

I'm not overweight; but I don't exercise and don't really eat healthy foods. I was just wondering because if I take a deep breath and it suddenly happens, it kind of feels maybe like a pop in my chest or something; not really, it's kind of non-describable.. i haven't had these pounding type headaches in a while. i know its "sinus season" but i feel pressure in the BACK of my head! actuallly, right now it hurts all around my head, and its worse when try to walk around. i feel sore, my neck, my back and having these headaches put me in a depressed type of mood. ***does anybody have any suggestions as to what is the cause and anything that will make them go away?*** only serious answers please.

I am trying to quit smoking, due to health issues and money, the same as anybody else lol. I managed to quit for two years although I put on a lot of weight because I replaced the cigarettes for Chocolate, as I found I had a sweet tooth which would of been because of my sense of taste improving. I went through a rough patch recently so I started up smoking again a couple of months ago. I know I have the willpower to stop again, but does anyone have any idea what I could replace chocolate with, which is just as sweet but less likely to help you put on weight as much?

I went to donate blood and my level was 12.9... I barely made the cut off. You have to be in the range of 12.5 to twenty something. What does this mean. I wasn't able to donate because my heart-rate was over 100. Was this from nerves? I am eighteen and in good health.

Sometimes when I am walking, or when I shift my weight the wrong way, my knee gives out and it is very painful. If it is a bad dislocation I get pain, swelling and loss of mobility. It hurts and is embarrassing since I usually fall flat on my butt. What surgery, treatment, etc is available. I have already wwent through physical therapy and that helped, but it still happens.

I have read on a web site, the advantages of having higer dopamine levels in the brain. I am a normal person and not have Parkinson's disease.So, will it be helpful to take small quantities of dopamine drugs to keep high level of dopamine levels in the brain?
