Even if your diet is 100% organic and balanced, you may be still missing some important nutrients your body needs.
But if you are going to take a vitamin, don't just buy any kind....Some vitamins don't dissolve properly in your stomach and you end up not getting anything from it.. Nurses call them Bed Pan Bullets. Take supplements that are chelated since they are absorbed by the body better.Chelation is the pharmaceutical process of bonding each mineral to an amino acid. This bonding makes it easier to digest and assimilate each nutritive mineral for proper utilization in the body. One a Day and Centrium should be avoided unless they say "Chelated'.
Processed foods are robbed the vitamins you need and a diet in highly processed foods can bring on many vitamin deficiencies and lead to health problems,.

No it's not a waste of time. See, it's called a "supplement" because it covers the other nutrients you may not get from eating foods, or lack of certain foods. You can't eat everything, right? THAT'S what a supplement is for.

The average North American eats about a variety of 12-16 foods. This diet is not varied enough and therefore unless you are eating a wide range of foods you may not be getting all the nutrients and vitamins you need.

No not at all, most of the healthy food we have now hasn't got as much nutritional content as it used to so it is good to have supplement also if you don't like a certain food like dairy products you may get calcium deficiency so will need to take calcium as a supplement, they are good as we don't get enough of what we need out of food anymore!

If you eat a healthy varied diet and you are not in a potentially vunerable group, some pregnant women, very old people, some children, then yes, a complete waste of time AND MONEY!

Food is full of crap. Unless it's farm fresh. So unless you live on a farm and eat unprocessed food, supplements are a good idea. Try sanatogen gold.
