Most of the odor is from volatile sulfur compounds contained within the substance.

Our bodies extract the nutrients from the food we eat. Our bodies also get rid of toxins and germs and bad stuff our bodies are fighting all the time and that has to come out some how, Usually through urine, but I would imagine, that it would come out with poo especially when you have alot of fiber. It cleans everything out...
Just a wild guess. My question back to you is why does other people's poo smell worse than our own?

What a question !!!!!
The bacteria inside of the feces is what makes them smell so bad. Specifically, the bacteria produce various compounds and gases that lead to the infamous smell of feces. Just in case you were wondering, you can get very sick by eating feces because it contains so many types of bacteria and other harmful substances such as parasites. So I wouldn't suggest adding poop to your diet any time soon.
Poop will vary in smell depending on the type of foods and drinks that you consume. Generally speaking, feces will smell worse if you consume foods or liquids with many artificial flavors or chemicals in them. The bad smell of feces will usually be reduced by eating more natural foods that do not contain any artificial flavors or chemicals. Also, the poop of meat eaters usually smells worse than that of vegans.

it all depends on what you have eaten, it doesn't always stink bad, but when it does smell i think its because its all the e numbers and stuff that our body doesn't absorbe, it also depends on how many times a day you poo if you only poo once in the morning, then when you poo the day after it stinks because its been lying in your bowel for 24 hours, i think that would make anything stink, happy pooing

I would think because as it passes through the body it picks up bacterias and other things that cling to it.
Maybe you could do a little research on the web and come tell the class?

I think it's for the benefit of the blind and partially deaf to at least get some enjoyment after a Mutton Vindaloo.

One of the byproducts of organic material decomposing is methane gas. That smells badly. There are other components as well. Think flatulence, and how unpleasant that can be.
