I have been in a monogamous relationship with my spouse for over 15 years. Recently we both tested positive for recent exposure to HSV2. Obviously, I suspect my husband. He denies wrong doing. The only innocent explaination is my brother, who is HSV2 positive. He sometimes scratches my back for me until it very red and even bleeding. Recently, he was complaining of numbness tingling in his hands and pain and muscle weakness. I asked him to go to the Doc, but he refuses. He has this same condition at least once or twice a year. It lasts for a couple of weeks or more and then goes away. Is it likely that he could have infected me when he scratched my back? The hand doesn't have blisters or bumps on it. It just has tingling numbness and pain. Also, please explain how high titer count proves recent 1st time exposure. Thanks.
