A while back I was dating this guy and I fooled around with him after we had been together for a while, I had always wanted him..ok...it had been like 2 yrs!....(fingered me and ate me). At the time I did not know that he had herpes. Is it possible to spread herpes through oral sex even though he does not have herpes in his mouth and just his genitals? I mean could it be possible that he spread it to me If I never came in contact with his genitals and just his mouth, which he did not have hereps in? Or once you have herpes you have it everywhere?..OMG....im paranoid, someone help!

Look I think you are worring about nothing,I do not believe 2 yrs ago he touched you by hand and his mouth infected you when no visible mouth sores were apparent.,

Having said that you can give it to partner on the genitals when outbreak on lips etc and vica versa, your chances are zilch if you ask me..

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, when I was still attending college and had a stupid one-night stand. I just made a massive mistake that one time and suddenly I felt like I was going to have to live with the consequences for the rest of my life. The worst part was feeling I could never date guys again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone that has sores around her you-know-what? But since a friend shared this video everything changed https://tr.im/treatmentsHerpes2o15gxED

Not only was I able to clear away all traces of the hsv from my body in less than 21 days, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams. This method provided me the opportunity to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

Calm down, breathe, it will be okay.

Herpes is only spread by direct contact with an actively infected area. If he has genital herpes, you would need to come into contact with his genitals AND he would need to be actively shedding the virus at the time in order for you to catch it.

Similarly, if he has a cold sore on his mouth (or if the cold sore infection is active but not showing symptoms) it can be transmitted by direct contact with his mouth / the cold sore infection site.

Herpes can be transmitted through oral, vaginal and anal sex, even if the infected person is not in the midst of an active outbreak.
Yes, it is possible to spread herpes simplex viruses I and II through oral contact. Yes, it is possible that you can have contracted herpes without ever having contact with his genital region since he performed oral sex on you.
Once herpes is contracted it spreads throughout the entire system; sometimes crusty, painful blister-like lesions will appear during an outbreak near the affected area (mouth, lips, tongue, throat; vaginal folds, labia minora and labia majora; anus, buttocks, etc).
There is no cure for herpes although there are suppressive therapies (valtrex, etc) to make living with herpes more controllable and less uncomfortable.
Ergo, even if using a condom, there is still a possibility of contracting herpes, so use caution.
You did not mention if you are having an outbreak or symptoms of herpes, but if you are you can check your symptoms at www.cdc.org or www.plannedparenthood.org for more ACCURATE and UP TO DATE information.

If all he has is genital herpes and NOT cold sores, then giving you oral sex would NOT spread the virus.

In order to contract herpes from him you would have needed to have sex with him (vaginal or anal), given HIM oral sex, or come in DIRECT skin to skin contact with the infected area (his genital area).

If he DID have cold sores though, then it would be very possible for him to spread the virus to you by giving you oral sex.

Herpes can be transmitted from the mouth to the genital area and vice versa.

If you are really paranoid about it you can always get tested for herpes. It's just a simple blood test. Good luck!

No! Herpes simples is not usually transmitted as genital herpes. It this is all that happened then no. Unless he had an outbreak and touched his genitals and then fingered you. If you get an outbreak, your first will be your worse!

See a doctor. If you've never had any kind of sexual contact with another person, it's probably an allergy, rash, or an infection. FYI, your VAGINA is on the INSIDE. The parts on the outside are called the VULVA and LABIA.

Ok, if he has it genitally and he only performed oral sex and fingered you then you do not have it. If he had a cold sore then you would of definately got it (thats how I got it.)

So don't worry.
