Yes, it is still possible.

Just because the warts may have been treated and are physically gone, doesn't mean the virus that causes them (HPV) is necessarily gone too.

"Even if you are treated to remove visible warts or your warts go away without treatment, the HPV infection is not cured; it remains in your body's cells.

Even with treatment for genital warts, you still may be able to spread the infection. Condoms may help reduce the risk of spreading the infection, but they do not fully protect against genital contact."

You can nerve be cured of a virus and "anal warts" are HPV, human papillomavirus. So yes you can still transmit HPV even years later. It is truly the gift that keeps on giving!!

yes the wart virus can never be cure. she still has HPV(genital warts) you just can't see them. you can only care treatment for hpv not cured so yes though he/she has no signs of the wart virus they can give it to you and once the do you might very well develop warts or you may not but still have it. so you could pass it on to someone else. that's why they are taking such a stronger approach on guardisil. do u watch tv? you can only prevent HPV you can't cure it.
