It lasts for a couple of weeks or more and then goes away. Is it likely that he could have infected me when he scratched my back? The hand doesn't have blisters or bumps on it. Oh my. I am so sorry for you right now. Did you know that there is a HIGH percentage of people in the world with HSV1 and HSV2 that DON'T KNOW they have it?
