Absolutely!

I have had HPV for 6+ years now. I didn't develop genital warts from my HPV till about a year and 1/2 ago. If it wasn't for my abnormal pap smears in the beginning when I was diagnosed, I would have never known I had HPV until the warts showed up!

It's not uncommon for people to have the virus for months and even years before they develop genital warts. You may have been infected in a relationship prior to your current relationship and just never knew about it!

Visit a doctor and have them take a look at you. They can offer treatment for the warts. Good luck!

It is possible to have herpes virus even without knowing it. This is because herpes sometimes show no symptoms at all. The person infected has the capacity of transmitting the disease to other persons. Although there are some inflammation, pimple, redness, tears and cuts, still these are not signs of herpes . It is only when the virus enters the skin cells that they start to multiply. In which case, there is redness in the skin and the skin becomes more sensitive. The initial outbreak of herpes is painful and itchy. Bumps and blisters particularly in the genital area appears. The other symptoms of herpes include muscle ache, fever, headache, swollen lymph glands, lower back pain, discharges and burning sensations in the male or female genital organ, painful blisters and burning sensations while peeing. The usual period of development of these symptoms is between two days to twenty days after the contact with an infected person. The symptoms are mild and sometimes unnoticeable. In the first attack, sores can be visibly seen which can last within 10 days to20 days. Herpes infections can be treated with a topical cream or antiviral medications. But to have complete relief, STD testing is a necessity. The symptoms may differ on a case to case basis. There are those where the symptoms are mild but others have a painful and long lasting outbreaks. Antiviral medications may reduce the risk of recurrences. Also, it can decrease the rate of herpes transmission. It can give necessary relief to the pain and discomfort one experiences during an outbreak. The healing time can be in a short period of time. All sexually active individual are required to have an STD testing regularly to keep track on there sexual health. In this way, they will find solutions to prevent their infection from getting worse. The test is done confidentially and is accurate.

even in a monogamous relationship if he has been in another relationship he could of had or carried it as well. You can go years without having symptoms of HPV, the only way is to have a pap smear and be specifically checked for HPV. You can do many things to treat it, so at least you probably caught it early.

Good luck!
