My boyfriend went down on me several days ago, giving me oral sex. I am not saying that he has HIV, but I am just wondering by receiving oral sex, can a woman get HIV this way?

If you get coldsores it it possible to get genital herpes? I know they are dif strains so is it possible to have genital herpes and get cold sores on your genital or would this be genital herpes and visa-versa

From my understanding, you have to ask for the test to be given and sign off to agree to have your blood tested. Or, if they present it to you, you have to still sign off on the paper which suggests you are giving them permission to do just that. I've been hearing so many people say that they don't have to be tested because when they were in the hospital for an illness, they were tested and don't have to worry about it. What are your opinions?

How does HIV become resistant to an analogs action of substituting for its respective nucleoside in DNA?
Drugs used for "anti-viral" HIV medication often include AZT, ddI, ddC, 3TC as part of the HAART regimen. These drugs are chemical phonies of the nucleosides that build DNA chains. If HIV has to hi-jack a cells machinery in order to replicate, how is it possible that HIV can mutate so to prevent the cell from substituting an analog in DNA synthesis? It is clear though, that these chemicals do in fact do a better job of what HIV is *said* to do- Kill cells.

i had an outbreak (i thot was a yeast infection) went to dr and they said it was herpes. i had no idea when i got it or from who cuz i had been with my fiance for bout 3 years. i am now 30 weeks pregnant and told my ob dr that i was diagnosed with herpes but that i know nothing about it and was concerned for the baby. she did bloodwork and then told me that the test came back showing positive for hsv 1 and she asked me if i have had cold sores on the mouth or anything and i said no but my fiance has always (since a kid) gotten a cold sore. so, i assume thats probably where i got it but my question is if i only tested positive for the hsv 1 but its in the genitals, does that make it hsv 2 (cuz its down there?) or is that something different? i just dont really understand it all and i have read bout it and talked to the dr. but still am confused?! also, if my fiance and i are only positive with hsv 1, and he has it oral and i have it in the genitals can we spread it to one another.......

Sex about 4 years ago(it was without my consent, and I hate saying the R word). Three years I had been seeing this guy and decided to have sex because I wanted and because no one was frocing me to do it. Well after that i've had like a zillion pap smears. My first one in NoV 2003 the gyne only tested me for bacterial and HIV. Came back neg. I was still freaking out and decided to get tested again for everything! in 2004 march. I was seeing a diff gyne already. Everything came back fine. Then in 2005 I had a pap smear and everything came back fine. Now 2007, I got a new doc, the clinic just put me with a new doc, and says you have hsv2. I was sad so ******* sad. Then I got over it. Then a girl did a presentation on HPV. U can't detect that one through blood. Now that I have the herps =( is like, my mind is making me think I have everything! So hpv! can you have normal paps, but at the same time have hpv? My next pap is tuesday!

So I have HPV, the kind with no warts. Does this mean I can never have sex again? Here's my real question...

I feel like if I tell the guy that I have HPV, tell him his risks if he has sex with me including passing along to the next girl and he still has sex with me, is it still partially my fault if he ends up getting HPV or passes it along?
Have I done my part by simply making him aware of the risks he's taking by having sex with me? Or is it my moral obligation to never have sex again?!?
