I have hsv1, had an outbreak, used the meds that I got from my doc. and its not working need adv on what else to use, my outbreak has last did 2 months now. need some help.

Go back to the doctor and tell them the medication isn't working for you. There a several different kinds of medication used for the herpes simplex virus, including acyclovir (Zovirax), valacyclovir (Valtrex), famciclovir (Famvir).
I have personally tried 3 different kinds of medication for herpes simplex virus (pills and ointment). I currently take acyclovir for my herpes outbreaks.
Ask your doctor to change the medication. What works for best some people doesn't necessarily work for others (this goes for ANY kind of medication). Good luck!

I got clinically diagnosed with the herpes simplex virus (type 2) about 5 yrs ago, whilst I was still attending college and had a mindless one-night stand.
