My daughter has croup....again! Is there any reason that she would get this so often? She is 5 years old and gets croup about 4-5 times a winter. Usually not this close together though(just had it 3 weeks ago). I was told the older she got the less severe it would get. Is there any other thing that I should have the doctor check??

One of my nostrils is always blocked. but because of this there is no problem as such. But I can not do yoga, when one nostrils is blocked.? What could be the problem for blocked nostrils all the time?

i m quite sporty and fit so its got nth to do with like if i m fat of not
altho sometimes when i do long distances i run out of breath and like i can't breathe well i can but like REALLY hard like i make all these sounds and feels like i m dying
also like whenever i walk like 3 floors of stairs jst like normally with out running or anything i run out of breathe my heart races like crazy and i find it hard to breathe so i ahve to stop for while then keep going

anyone know whats wrong ? do i have somekinda breathing problem, cos i dont't think i have asthma or anything?? any idea?

my daughter is one and a half, she has been up all night coughing, i know the doctor will say its just a virus (and i know hes right), but what can i do to help her, what medicine would you recommend and if you can why? thankyou

I am on a bi-pap machine with a humidifier, I wake up several times at night with my mouth so dry it feels parched. I don't get a good nights rest due to how often I get up to drink water to moisten my mouth. So I still wake up tired and wore out.

I am having sinus headaches on a regular basis. I do not run to the Dr every time, because I do not want to be on antibiotics all of the time. Also, i tell them that my ears are hurting and I am told they "look fine". I am using saline to flush my sinuses, taking decongestants and pain relievers. The snot color ranges from clear to green with bloody stuff in it. (sorry so graphic). I am just tired of this!!!! Any suggestions besides cutting my head off!!?

When I just get comfortable enough to fall into a sleep ,I actually stop breathing and it feels like someone has suffocated me ?,so therefore I would just like to know if there is anything that can cure this with medical attention I just had this experience about 5 minutes ago ,and the only thing that strikes my mind as a suffocating feeling could occur is when you are laying on you're left side because of the heart and then the other worry maybe it's too many covers but i only sleep with a microfiber blanket and a comforter but i do not cover my head in the covers ? , so why is this happening do you think? Cause it kinda scares me .

can I safely be in my office which has exposed yellow insulation if I cover it with plastic? I have heard it is dangerous to breathe in while in a room with exposed pink or yellow insulation.

For about two days I've had an extremely stuffy nose, but I'm not congested, and I show no other signs of a cold. When I blow my nose it is a very dark color, and it is very very thick and has a very slight strange smell. Sometimes there's blood in it, too, and... this is kind of hard to explain... the way it smells, I can taste that in the back of my mouth. Do I have a sinus infection?

For the past 4 days I have felt like crap. Two days ago I had a headacke that I couldnt get rid of on top of the shakes plus a constant cough. The headache is gone I have no fever, and now I am dealing with pressure on my upper chest when I breathe in and out and when I cough its really starting to get me down and on top of all of this i cant breathe my nose is so plugged up if anyone has had any of these symptoms let me know i havent went to the dr yet just been taking over the counter medicine my husband said that the drs probably will tell me there is nothing they can do and send me on my way.

So about three months ago I got this terrible cold:
very tired, stuffed up, sore throat. My doctor gave me a decongestion med and antibiotics because it wouldnt go away. After that it went away but came back worse with a terrible hacking cough, so I went back to the doctor and she gave me another set of more strong antibiotics and suggested blood work and a chest x-ray because the cough wouldnt go away. The blood work came back clear and the x-ray showed a shadow in my lungs so she prescribed another one and it came back the same. So i got inhalers. One of the inhalers was advair and it seemed to work with my cough it went away but then as soon as advair wore off the cough would come back. So i stayed on the inhalers for a while and was prescribed an x-ray for 6 weeks later I just had the x-ray and it shows that I have calcium buil-up on my ribs around my lungs, the doctor says it may be from a cracked rib i didnt know about or from a respiratory infection like pneumonia.

Hi, My husbands sisters daughter spent the night last night and we were talking today and she told me that her family tested positive for tubercalosis a week ago, she said only on the skin though? And they took medicine so its ok? Should I be worried and maybe get checked out myself?
