I'm hacking a cough, taking an inhaler and I have been taking tylenol for the past two days.....does zinc help at all?

I went to bed last night and couldn't help but feel annoyed by this feeling. I woke up this morning to a nasty non-productive cough. I have already had a neo-citran, rubbed Vicks on my chest, had a hot bath and drank a green tea. I still can't get rid of the tightness.
Any suggestions would help.

This morning the pain around my eye left eye was so severe it literally felt like I had been punched in the eye. It even hurt to put eyeshadow on. It's much better but my head hurts and my neck is soar. I don't have any coughing, sneezing or a soar throat. There is only very minor congestion. Is it a sinus infection or a cold? Should I go get some antibiotics or wait it out. I read somewhere that if it last more than 10 days it's a sinus infection. I don't want to have to wait 10 days if in fact it is. That's a long time to feel miserable.

We previously painted a room with magnetic paint (it doesn't work),but that's beside the point. Our five year old has year-round allergies and I'm hoping this is not contributing.

I was diagnosed with it last year, and now I don't know how i'm supposed to know when my symptoms are serious enough to go an emergency room or not.

Last week, I had a lot of cramping on my heart and chest, and some on my back, and it was difficult to breathe. There's still some soreness in my chest, and my breathing still isn't normal.

I made an appt. to see a doctor on Tuesday. But I want to know if anyone else is dealing with this. There's not alot online about it, and my so-called cardiologists last year didn't have much to say about it either.

Don't get me wrong , its not like I come close to blacking out or anything, but heres what happens....

This has been going on for YEARS ( I mean atleast 10). It doesn't happen all of the time, but more like in the spring, and I guess in the winter because it's happening now. I can breathe, but I feel like I'm not getting enough oxygen and I have to stop and take deeeeeep breathes. I thought it was asthma, but I got a test done at the doctors and he said that I didnt have it. He didnt seemed concerned at all, and never really gave me an answer. I was telling my school nurse about it one time and she said it sounded like allergies. I do have like flemmy stuff in my throat, but I'm not coughing it up or anything.
I dont know its pretty weird and I've been living with it long enough to not be worried about it, but it can be so annoying! Any ideas on what it could be?

So here's a little overview.. I've been sick for about 2 & a half months now..supposedly mycoplasma pneumonia. The doctors I've seen have sent me home with antibiotics & they're not working. My mom complains because I go to bed with my ceiling fan on full blast.. I don't sleep directly under the AC vent, so it's not really COLD air.. it's just wind. Sometimes I go to sleep with my hair wet.. But can that really be keeping me sick or making me sicker? I've always thought those things were just a myth!
