Sweat it out. Put on Vicks Vapour rub and cover up, take some Tylenol, drink plenty of fluids and soup and even popsicles and get plenty of rest.

Most of the answers you got sum up what you need to do. Vitamin C is the key, but drink A LOT of fluids. Water, water, and more water. Chicken noodle soup does wonder too! Remember that your body can only take in so much vitamin C and after that, it stops absorbing it and just gets rid of it. So I wouldnt drink a gallon of it... just make sure it is pure juice, (most labels tells you how much equals your required daily amount). Just make sure that you get the real stuff, not the powdered stuff made with sugar!!! I would go without the meds, but if you must take something, go for the Tylenol Cold and Flu to help clear you up!

Tylenol won't do anything for a cold.

If you let the cold run it's full course, it will last for a week. Make sure you drink orange juice daily.

Personally, I take Alka Seltzer Cold Plus. It gets rid of my cold in 2 days.

Drink lots of 7-up or orange juice. Avoid milk and water. Keep your feet warm. Take a hot bath, sit in the bathroom for a while and let the steam come in through your nostrils, etc.

Drink 2 half gallons of orange juice back to back. You don't have to chug it just drink it normally as you would a soft drink. It works. Dis this the other night and by morning I was feeling 90% better.
