We don't know. We can't see your lungs. You don't know,.. you probably won't notice or will dismiss it as a cold.
An Autopsy would tell. It's posible there is no damage, it's posible you now will have Asthma or some other breathing problem,.. it's posible you started a cancer,.. so many posiblity. Nothing to be assured of past you put some nasty materials in your lungs the cigarette companies added >.< You may just cough them up over time and be fine.

As in 30 total? Ever? Strictly speaking no amount of smoking is safe, but the kind of long term damage to lung tissue that it sounds like you're concerned about is based on an accumulation of things like tar, the long term presence of toxic compounds and and the body's own response to the constant irritation of smoke particles. If you've only ever smoked a pack and half and no longer smoke at all you have nothing to worry about. There are immediate effects to quitting a chronic smoking habit. In fact, the body begins to heal immediately. My grandfather smoked 40 - 60 cigarettes PER DAY for almost 40 years. He quit at 67 and lived to be 94. Just don't start again.

I wish i only smoked 30 cigs. in my life, I would say your fine but being a smoker i do know it takes over 7 years for a lung to heal and a smoker can get cancer up to 14 or 17 years AFTER they have stopped--just thought i would add that since some of the others who wrote must not be stupid enough to smoke.

Relatively speaking, I don't think 30 cigarettes is much, considering some people smoke that amount in 1 day.

You're probably O.K.
They say the body of a smoker is back to almost 100% (Almost) - 1 to 2 years after they've quit smoking.

Smoking is not a good idea, but I don't believe that you have smoked enough to cause any damage.
