Well.....people breathe so that we can take in oxygen, which blood needs to flow all around our body,and we do so that we can be rid of carbon dioxide, which our lungs and people don't need. Every living things breathe, because without air our life can be in jeopardy.

1. I don't know. I wish some people wouldn't. 2. Blood needs oxygen to continue delivering nutrients to cells at the molecular level. When those cells fail to be nourished, they die.
