Anything with a scent can send my son and I into coughing fits.

We have wood and tile floors throughout the house.

PS My husband can't stand the smell of vinegar.

My daughter tells me her lungs feel like they're on fire when she tries to run. Her legs do fine, her heart doesn't hurt, but her lungs really flare up. Could she have asthma? Or is this something else?

Well, I've searched around yahoo answers but couldn't really find much help that I didn't know about. Most of the times when I sing at home my voice sounds a little bit scratchy. Not like a sore throat, but...I guess I can't really find words to describe it. Well, I almost always have phlegm in my throat, and water doesn't really help get rid of it. In fact, most of the time, I try drinking a little water before singing and it makes my throat more dry and scratchy. My throat has been like this since I was about 11, so a little more than 2 years now. Does anyone know how I can get rid of the phlegm permanently?

When can I be a candidate for a heart/lung transplant? (I have severe tricuspid regurg. after having mitral valve repair) Any thoughts are well appreciated! Thank you!!

I have had an awful cough for well over a month now. When i first went to the docs they told me it was Sinusitis. I took the meds they gave me and it never got better. I went to another doc and they said their wasnt really anything wrong with me. Gave me sudafed and sent me home. I cough all day long and at night its worse. It almost sounds like the type of cough you have when you have bronchitis. The docs says my lungs sound clear. I KNOW THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG. HELP! IM MISERABLE!

On Sunday, while visiting my mother at a nursing home, I was exposed to toxic fumes when the maintainace man came in and started cleaning the toilet while I was in the bathroom cleaning my mother's teeth. The fumes were so strong I had to leave, but not before filling my lungs. Since then I have been sick, my lungs burn, I'm coughing, and yesterday morning my temperature reached 101.4. Is this just a coincidence or is there a conection?

I smoked for six years and had my last cigarette three weeks ago. My sinus' have been very dry since about a week after I quit, and now they have started bleeding. I am also waking up with all kinds of mucus tinged with blood in my throat. I am not ill, so I'm thinking this has something to do with quitting smoking ... something to do with my mucus membranes repairing themselves? Anyone heard of this problem after quitting?
