I HAVE A LUNG NODULE WHICH IS 5MM
SHOULD IT BE BIOPSY IT HAS WENT FROM 4MM TO 5MM IN 6 MONTHS.

5mm is still pretty tiny (and the change in size actually might not be real). I would only biopsy this if it was really easy to get to (right at the periphery of the lung near the pleura). Have you had a CT scan to determine where it is in the lung? Have you had a PET scan to see if it is metabolically active? Do you have any risk factors for lung cancer (smoker, family history of cancer, asbestos, etc). Even though I don't like waiting on these things, I might repeat the CT scan in another 6 months (especially if it would be a tricky biopsy).

I had one that was 3 MM. They said I should go back and get a second CAT scan. I never did and that was 5 years ago. But the fact that you know that yours is growing, you definitely should not ignore it. Get it biopsied, especially if you smoke.

Have it removed and tested...it could be lung cancer, it could be just be just a lump, but it's better to know...
