First off do not take antibiotics without first seeing a doctor, because there is a good chance they will not help you. I don't have much detail to go on, but if this is just a cold that has reached it's peak, there isn't much you can do but ride it out. Common colds are caused by the rhinovirus for which there is no cure except the body's own defenses. Get lots of rest, drink lots of orange juice and if you want, take some vitamin E to help boost your immune system. If on the other hand this is a case of pneumonia you definitely want to get it taken care of right away. Your doctor is the best person to diagnose this so consult him/her for your best options.

You should probably go to the doctor. You could need antibiotics because you could have an infection. I would be cautious about taking anything over the counter meds if this problem has been going on for a while.Hope you feel better soon.
