Lately I have been experiencing blurred vision, extreme fatigue and a very weird cough. The cough seems to come and go every day. I wake up in the morning and am good for about an hour and then I want to go to sleep again. As for the vision its very blurry but if I close one eye I can see perfect. With the right eye open everything is blurry. Not sure if all this is related but just curious if anyone else ever had something like this or what it can be?

I have peripheral neuropathy, the cause is unknown but I believe it has to do with previous back sergeries, anyways last year after having the flu my symptoms became full blown (weakness, sharp pains, tingling, numbness, yada yada yada) about four months ago the symptoms cleared up I started jogging again and feeling great, my kids came home with the flu last week and I felt asthough I was coming down with it too, but instead I ended up with all the full blown neuropathy symtoms. is this common?

I want natural treatment and natural hormones if necessary. Does anyone have knowledge or experience with this, such as if I can still buy a mercury thermometer to measure basal body temp. in the morning under armpit. Also any experience with natural treatment and doctors? I have read Dr. Broda Barnes' book and I feel that many tests that even an endocrinologist would suggest are not really necessary. If basal temperature is low than it seems safe to assume that so is the thyroid, especially when symptoms are present. I want to find a mercury thermometer, then if low temp. is confirmed I want to take armour thyroid and then monitor temp. and any changes in symptoms. If someone has knowledge of natural medicine and treatment which could support me even better than this idea, without costing a fortune, I would most appreciate the info, thanks.

All of the kids have my fathers deep brown eyes. Only the last time I saw him, he seems to have developed a thick grey very noticeable border around the deep brown we all inherited. I've looked around on the internet and can't seem to find anything on the phenomenon. Anyone seen this happen? Does it mean there's some kind of problem?

My father died of lung cancer in March of this year. He had been coughing nonstop since 2005 and was diagnosed in April of 2006.

In January of 2005, his doctor took Xrays and told him he had asthma. Between that time and 4/06, if his dr had had the forethought to consider lung cancer, my father might have had surgery and might be alive today. When he was diagnosed, it was too late. The cancer was inoperable and in both lungs. He suffered for a year and pretty much died slowly.

My question is: How do I know if it's worth it to sue the dr who misdiagnosed him? Do I have another dr look at his xrays and files?

I'm not even sure it's worth it, but am anguished that his death could have been prevented and wonder how many others die because a dr doesn't consider lung cancer in patients with chronic coughs.

Thanks for your advice.

My 6 year old daughter has been dealing with a Urinary Tract Infection for over a week now. It took a few days for the doc. to get her culture test back and she has now been on an antibiotic for 3 days. She is drinking water and white cranberry juice. We have not seen much improvement. She is not running a fever and says she is not in pain. She is using the restroom about every 30 minutes. I want to help her get over this but I am at my wits end. Any suggestions?

All tests done at the hospital have come back negative. I don't have a genetic mutation so it isn't iron overload disease and the erythro tests are normal and polycythemia vera has been ruled out. I don't smoke or drink (never have) and my specialist is stumped. He is doing regular phlebotomies but that only has a temporary effect. I see him again in July and have written to him to ask what the nxt step is but have had no reply yet.

The tests have been going on for a year now and I'm totally frustrated as I can't get insurance etc. Also losing pay because I am at the hospital so much.

End of March had to take responsibility for 90 year old aunt, lived with us for month. Took care of Uncle's funeral, now am trustee for aunt. During that time, just was running ragged with all duties. First thing I noticed was my breasts just shrunk.. I am not that large to begin with. My clothes were lose, and my arm and leg muscle are not firm anymore. I have lost about 9 pounds since March, eating the same and otherwise feel fine, but getting anxiety worrying about underlying health problems. I am going to doctor next week, but am researching on internet as well. The stress of being trustee is somewhat a worry, but I try not to dwell on it all. I take Crestor and have taken it for three years without problems, so far. I hope this could be due to just worry and stress, and not underlying medical problem. Guess I will have to wait for professional opinion, but would love to hear from other persons with similiar situation.

i am not on any curves on a pediatric growth chart. i am 3rd percentile on everything. i am starting to have problems drinking a specialized nutrition formula and having severe problems with solid food, i cant eat much at all. after i eat just a little i feel "full" i definatly dont enjoy eating and my enjoyment for drinking is diminishing. my weight is at 101 and dropping very slowly. there was a crash in last december to this january before i got on the formula dropped 4 pounds in december from 105 down to 101 dropped another 4 in january down to 97. it was very scary and i still havent recovered fully, i have quadriplegic spasticity and also i have noticed that eating is getting very hard because my gag reflex keeps triggering. the doctors are saying "no its not nessisary" and i stepped on a perfectly calibrated scale and its showing 93 pounds, 4 pounds less than what it was in january, anything below 90 is considered critical, are they going to wait for it to go critical.
