For the past two weeks, my 9 year old son has problems with nausea almost all day. He has had bloods taken to check for H.pylori and commenced on 80mg zantac, twice a day. After 5 days, there is no change.

I think it can take anything from 4 - 8 weeks. Take your son back to the doctors and get him checked over again, even if it was just to put your mind at ease. Side effects could include :- nausea, constipation and headache. It's worth checking out.

I am an alternative medicinal therapist and an ex nurse and i can tell you that these types of medication can make the condition worse. i have several cures providing you can answer a few questions first e mail me if you wish. Meanwhile try ginger, its excellent for nausea. You can get it in drink,capsules or solid form as in crystallised. Also give him actimel every morning its very nice to drink and it puts friendly bacteria back into the gut that helps the digestive processes
