I've been passing stones for many years now, all different sizes and shapes. Last week I had an attack, my gf took me to the hospital where they told me I had 2 stones. I managed to pass one there after a few hours, I have passed stones bigger than that, but it was jagged. The other stone took 3 days to pass and was much larger. It was the biggest stone I've ever passed before, it was difficult to urinate out which then I had to push it through my urethra & the pain was horrible! It got to the end of my penis & then it got stuck. I was damn near crying from the pain at that point. Finally one hard push, I screamed and it came out & bounced out of the strainer and on to the floor. I wasnt sure if I was passing a golf ball or if it really was a kidney stone until it came out. My gf came into the bathroom, I showed her the stone, she said, "its a girl!" Wait until she goes through childbirth, she'll see. Have any other men had this happen?

My dad was diagnosed with Wegeners granulomatosis vasculitis about 4 1/2 years ago at that time he was given 6mth to a year to live thankfully God has blessed us and he is still with us but he is still battleing this disease to this day he has never went into remission it took his kidneys shortly after his diagnosis and he has been on dialysis since it has moved into his lungs but so far they have been able to keep that part of it somewhat in control and we think it may have moved into his sinuses recently he has such a hard time with this disease and has pretty much been given a death sentence by the doctor twice once in the begining and again about a year later but he has kept fighting and is still here he is still on chemo but the last time when it was time to start chemo again the doctor was wanting to back off from it which is very scary i would like to hear others experience with this good or bad you dont have to spare me i already know its an ugly thing to deal with -thank you!!

I know this isn't a question. Delete me if you want. But I have information about questions that have already been answered. I am trying desperately to get this information out to people who are facing a surgery that isn't very likely to be effective.

Somebody who is in an accident, say a car accident, and is paralyzed from the waist down... how long on average, are you likely to be in the hospital? Does anybody know of a website where I can get more information on this kind of paralysis, how they can get around, what they need assistance with, medical attention, etc.?

He also has a cough. He had a fever and headache a week ago, 4 days later came the cough, sore throat and diarrhoea and then the rash began 1 day ago with a little bit of vomiting. He has been back from Southern India for 3 weeks and had diarrhoea over there for about 5 days. He has seen a doctor but they don't know what it is, they have suggested it might be glandular fever. Do these symptoms sound familiar with anyone?

In February after a month of being on birth control, I had a pain in my leg and completely convinced myself it was a blood clot but I had an ultrasound done on my legs and they came back clear. Then I started having chest pains and I was convinced I had a blood clot in my lungs. I had an EKG performed and a Stress Echocargiogram done and both came back perfect. My doctor says my oxygen in my lungs is good but put me on an inhaler due to inflammation of the lungs. I still feel bad, having chest pains and shortness of breath sometimes, but I think it could be anxiety. Does anyone else agree? I don't smoke, stopped birth control less than 30 days after starting it but I am about 15 pounds overweight. Am I just freaking myself out?

I was once a heavy drinker in high school, but have since slowed things down VERY much and managed to graduate with 2 high level awards for major and minor and the highest general honors... I feel in control...

BUT--> I still drink pretty heavily 1 night a week, very occasionally 2 since its the only time I get to kick back (weekends)...

Can this lead to alcohol-reliance or severe damage because of my past? Should I be worried?

I plan on stopping when I enter law school next year entirely... Before that, .I'm travelling for a month, and where I'm going I HAVE to enjoy the wine.... After I plan to drink at only weddings and sepcial occasions.. I guess I am just worried about my body.

How much damage could I have done from highschool until college graduation? I've been reading up and its making me... nervous!

I've known people to drink much more, but who knows where THEY'LL be in 20 years!

About 2 and a half years ago, I developed a pain around my navel (as if it was being pulled from the inside), and a low fever. Over the course of a couple days, it moved to the area of my right kidney, and got REALLY painful. It would hurt with every cough, sneeze, or any sudden movement, I even had to bend a certain way to walk. Then one day, I woke up, and it was just gone, so I thought no more about it. Recently, a friend of mine was complaining of the same symptoms (exactly the same, location, movement, and fever), I told him it was nothing, it'd go away in time. His girlfriend dragged him to the hospital, were he was told his appendix had ruptured. He is now preparing for surgery... I've been told for most of my life that untreated appendicitis is a death sentence, which leads me to 2 possible conclusions. Either my friend was mis-diagnosed, or I somehow DID survive it, with just a couple weeks of blinding pain....
