Say, for example, you go to a restaurant, and you order decaf coffee, and are given regular coffee. From what I understand, that could cause problems other than simple dissatisfaction. As well, wouldn't the reverse be true? If you specifically ordered regular and were given decaf?

Ok, so in my study hall class, we were talking about wierd health occurences. Our teacher told us about how she used to work at a hospital, and a boy came in (around 6) with his parents, and while he was anatimically a boy, his insides was everything a woman would have (fallopian tube, uterus, etc etc etc) and how if they hadn't performed surgery, during puberty, he would have grown breasts, and many other woman like features. What is this medical condition called?

I have tendinitis and the splint my doctor gave me is not helping the pain in my thumb. I see that sometimes they use a cast for tendinitis. I see an orthapaedic dr. tomorrow. Should I request a cast? I would rather have one because it seems it would stableize my thumb better.

tell me what you think.

I went to the dr with back pain in my waist area and the found a surgical clip floating in my abdomen from my gallbladder surgrey 4 yrs ago. ( in 2 consectutive x-rays it was in different places) He said it's no big deal and can't find my back pain source and thinks it's in my head. The last time i was at the dr was 3 1/2 yrs ago complaining of the same thing but it has now gotten so bad I wake up at night. If the clip was supposed to be holding something closed and let lose could that cause trouble? Could leaving the clip in cause trouble?
Additional info - All my labs were good except low b-12 on suplliments now
ct scan (done without contrast) showed mild degenerative changes he said not enough to cause the type of pain i have.

I have several symptoms of Lupus but the ANA came back negative. Don't know what else it could be. I don't have an appointment with the specialist until next month.

For last 2 weeks been feeling slight numbness tingling in fingers almost non stop, and occasionally in toes feet arms, a couple times neck area. went to er they said peripheral neuropathy and anxiety. i went to doctor visit he said its nothing serious, not diabeties or seizures or anything like that but he didnt run any tests, he jus hit my wrists with something and asked me if i felt any difference, he came to the conclusion after about 10m it was anxiety. i told him how is it possible to be feeling these symptoms including feeling a little dizzy or a in a daze with slight numbness almost the entire day for 2wks, this is not anxiety, if it was anxiety it would only be during a panic attack, and he said he was sure its anxiety. but how do i know its not Meniere's disease i did have vertigo one time about 14 yrs ago, and i do have low ringing of the ears i hear it when i sleep and its silent. or maybe its the beginning of multiple sclerosis, im 27 yr male, any ideas

I'm a hypochondriac, and yes, I really am this stupid. I'm supposed to go to a GI specialist next week Thursday, and there's been talk about a colonoscopy. But I just realized I didn't notice the "clots" until I started eating this italian dressing by kraft almost everyday starting about 3 weeks ago, and that I have no real idea what a clot would look like anyway.

My 21 old son has tubes in his ears after many bouts of ear infections and a lot of fluid in his ears. After tubes were put in both ears 5 months ago he has another ear infection. How is it possible that he has another ear infection? Aren't tubes supposed to drain the fluid to prevent infection? I'm so worried.

The girl that I am dating has sleeping habits that make me nervous. She often breathes very short breaths during the course of the night. In addition, she has a sudden convulsion periodically during the course of the night. Often we are out drinking when I notice these symptoms. I just did some research on sleep apnea, and I don't think that she has this.

I have a curved spine i think is what the doctor said. They found it 3 years ago, and i haven't had it checked in about 2 years. Could my spine be getting worse and causing me depression? I really don't have a reason to be depressed..

I am fixing to get health insurance to be able to go see a doctor for my health problems and I'm choosing to go see a doctor of Internal Medicine because regular doctors that I've seen in the past haven't helped with my issues. These are the 3 problems I've had for years now (one is gross, sorry):
- chronic constipation
- severe anxiety
- (the gross one) persistent body odor
I feel the persistent b.o. is being caused by the chronic constipation becuz I've always been and continue to be a very clean highly hygienic person (shower daily, use deodorant, perfume etc) and this odor in turn is causing me to have the severe anxiety. I'm so embarrased and scared to be around people because of it. So one thing has lead to the other. Do you think an Internal Medicine doctor would be able to help me with all 3 of my issues?

For approx 4 mths, our 11 lb dog has had seizures, bleeding, and rushed in for severe life-threating allergies. We have finally found an antibiotic that clears all her of all symptoms. The vet refuses to give her this life-saving med until he does a weekly CBC which always points to a high infection, only then will he issue the meds. I cried and begged to please give her more than a weeks worth of meds before running the same test that point to a huge infection, he says NO. He said he will refer her to a specialist after 1 MORE TEST, but that was a month ago.

We are going to another vet, hopefully he'll find the source of infection, but give her meds until they find out the source of infection. Isn't there some kind of humane law for denying life-saving meds for a chronic condition, & not trying to find what the condition is? Please feel free to e-mail me. I have all my bills together, along w/ pictures. She goes from a healthy-boucing dog to swollen & gasping for breath.

Occasionally I get these raised areas on my lower back, usually along the spine. They kind of itch, but feel like a bruise when touched...its not directly on the spine, just right next to it on either side. I'm not in pain unless I press on the area. I plan on going to the Dr., I just wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this kinda thing or knows wtf is causing it.

Thanks :)
