has anyone ever opted for something bigger than the standard strainer your doctor has given you? When I had my attack, I had 2 stones & passed one there at the hospital. the strainer that they gave me wasnt that wide & when I aimed my Johnson at strainer & pissed it out, I almost missed the strainer. When I was ready to pass the 2nd stone a day later,I made my own strainer. I bought a good sized wire mesh food strainer & lined it with coffee filters. I found it easier to pass the stone into a larger strainer & not worrying about missing and landing in the toilet, since the 2nd stone did "pop" out because I had to put force on to get it out.

I was not feeling well earlier this week and went the doctor...during my exam, I experienced pain and tenderness in the lower right quadrant of my abdomen. To rule out appendicitis, I had a CT on my ab and pelvis. I should have the results Monday or Tuesday.

I have never heard of anyone needing surgery until they were in major pain; has this ever happened to you or anyone you know?

I have bad back problems, in the last year I have used the following meds for pain: all strengths of lortab, vicodin, & percocet. darvocet, demerol (sp?), morphine 30mg, oxycontin 40mg. then for muscle relaxers: valium 10mg, soma, robaxin (sp?), flexril (sp?), and skelaxin (sp?). So far oxycontin 40mg has worked the best, but it's still not anything great & super expensive...it's just better than the other painkillers ive tried. as far as muscle spasms Soma is the keeper, i'm happy eventhough my insurance wont even cover it. i've had issues with my insurance covering anything above percocet so im weary of trying expensive meds that i might be wasting hundreds of $ on. my Dr just recommended i try duragestic patch 50, vicodin for breakthrough pain and Soma. i am not familiar with the patch at all and am looking for info from people who have used it, not just the general info i've found on the 'net. I'd appreciate any help at all.

Have had extreme fatigue for 2 years, must take naps. Lost alot of hair (all over my head) last year. The hair regrowth is about 3 inches. This also happened 3 years ago. I am 48 years old. The doctor did tests for iron level, thyroid and basic blood chemistry last year and the levels were great. Then they did a sed rate because of my migraines and headaches, that was fine. Lately I am extremely hungry and am eating too many calories. I am not overweight. I weigh 138 and am 5 ft 4 inches.

ok I feel like crap. like really crappy. the following are my symptoms:
weakness/ high physical fatigue
mental fatigue
shortness of breath
nausea
numbness in my right leg knee down (nothing debilitating yet, it just feels funny, like i've been sitting on it)
no fever
inability to think well

and if this helps, i've felt tired all day and most of this was very fast onset, nausea first, then the numb leg then the fatigue, and the nausea has significantly gone down from its high point. so if you have any idea what i may have and/or what to do about it i'd appreciate it

I recently found I had an ear infection (full information at http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=A0WTcY_VBEVGlUwBBAnsy6IX?qid=20070503151107AA7P7M2 , if the link's working). I was perscribed ear drops (multiple ingredients; only recognized hydrocortisone) for 5 days and antibiotics (Amoxicillin) for 10 days, both for 3 doses a day. It's been 7 days since the perscription, and yes my ear does feel better, and yes I am continuing with the antibiotics for the full 10 days, but I stopped the ear drops on Wednesday as perscripted. Only thing is, today I've got ringing in my right ear, persistant ringing that's rather loud, as ringing goes. Now I have 3 questions. 1. Is it normal? 2. Is there anything I can do about it? and 3. Do you think it'll go away in a few days?

My mom is 36 and was diagnosed with m.s. when she was 23, what are the chances of her being in a wheelchair by the time she is 50? By the way, the m.s. is not at bad as it used to be and she shows almost no symptoms at all.(she took some perscription shots for a year and now its in 'remission) is there a chance the m.s. is gone or will it come back?

Ok, my hubby has been sleeping with the fan on us at night and it has made my sinuses go crazy. Well this morning I woke up and my chest felt really congested, my nose holes (where the sinuses drain) are sore and my nose is JACKED! When I cough, mucus comes up from my chest, but it's really bad in the morning and my chest hurts some as well as the very bottom of my throat, not like a soar throat, but a congested feeling right above my sternum. I do not have health insurance and can't afford to see a doctor. Give me a diagnosis and any home remedies would be GREAT! I drink tons of water on a daily basis and I work out at the gym 5x a week, so I'm getting the water and exercise. I also take a multi-vitamin and Vitamin C daily. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, at first I thought my son was just having issues with constipation from a milk allergy... But I am starting to think that may not be the case..... He has problems passing BM... I have to give him a suppository or he won't do it.. And he HATES it when I do, but when he gets the urge to go, he won't..He'll start screaming in pain and grabbing his butt and saying his tummy hurts... and it usually is really tight... He'll cry for a while, then I'll give him one to help it along, but I don't think he's constipated..Whenever it comes out it is really soft and squishy.

I was thinking maybe a digestive problem, but I am not sure... What do you think it could be....

Also I am gonna schedule a doctors appointment next week.. They were closed already when I called today at 1. The reason we've been waiting is to see if it was a milk allergy or not......

This has been going on for over a week now, and I give him a suppository every other day.

Thank you all for any information you can help provide.

After taking NyQuil for a couple of months as a sleep aid, I mentioned in previous posts that when I ended it... I could no longer sleep at night. While taking it, I started getting sleep paralysis frequently etc. Anyway, I keep going back to it bc it's the only way I can sleep. If I stop altogether, how long do you think it will be before my sleep schedule gets back to normal?
